As a jewelry/accessories designer it isn’t often that you get to see your creations on people. But when I do get pictures from clients, I smile from a good, healthy place. One of my most dapper clients attended a wedding in Dallas this past weekend and took his Fidelis bracelets along for the ride. He currently has seven (7) of them and every time I get new beads he gets another bracelet. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t completely humbled and floored to see my work, my jewelry, on the Grammys red carpet! When I met Votte Hall at the Trumpet Awards last year, I promised that I would absolutely support his art and do whatever I could to help. #TBT to my first tv show placement on @insecurehbo. I still absolutely LOVE this collection. My journey as a jewelry designer has taken me through the evolution to an accessories designer and I continue to learn and grow. Following this moment last summer pieces from the Fidelis II Collection were gifted to the red carpet and show hosts of the 2018 Trumpet Awards, @mrtalkbox wears his daily and took them out on tour with him and R&B crooner @vottehall wore them in the video for his newest single “Kiss On Me” (available on iTunes and a BTS feature in Hip Hop Weekly). I’ll be watching a few shows this Fall to see if any of my work shows up on prime time and network tv and if so I will be absolutely stoked. If it doesn’t, I’m still grateful for the opportunity. I don’t say any of this to brag, but as a reflection of how far I’ve come with hard work and the faith that others have had in me and my work. Though designs come and go from my store/shop (currently available via Etsy as I’m revamping the main website) the Fidelis Collection, in all its variants, will always stay.
