It has been two years since NYC lost our hero, Detective Steven McDonald. In July 1986, Detective McDonald was patrolling Central Park as a second-year #NYPD cop when he was shot by a 15-year-old gunman. Although these bullets paralyzed Detective McDonald from the neck down, he never allowed his injuries to immobilize his commitment to service. After forgiving his shooter, Detective McDonald dedicated his life to spreading a message of compassion and love throughout the world. His legacy will forever live on through the lives he changed.
