Don’t worry. It’s totally normal for your back to hurt like hell after getting it adjusted. Especially if your back is really fucked up
(I’m so sorry I forgot to put up my reply!!)
Hmm. I wonder if it was because it was my first adjustment ever, and because my back was truly fucked up. Had a few more adjustments since then, but hasn’t hurt nearly as much as that first one did. *shudders*
So we do some manipulation in OMM (since I’m in DO school) and it really shouldn’t hurt that much after. Some soreness is normal (even expected) but pain that’s keeping you from working is a little worrisome. I’d say if you feel any other symptoms (like numbness/tingling/etc.) get checked out sooner rather than later, but if it’s still that bad tomorrow you might want to consider getting checked out.
(I’m sorry I’m trash and forgot to post this)
Oh okay, thanks! I did mention it to the chiropractor when I had an adjustment after that, and there wasn’t anything abnormal so it’s just soreness as far as I know...and I thought it was getting better, or at least starting to, but now I have a shitload of other questions for the chiropractor when I see him tomorrow.
