Okay but real talk, the criticism that something is ‘over rated’ is not only one I hate but it’s not a good criticism? Like you’re basically saying ‘people like this more than I do and it detracts from my enjoyment of it’?

They take place in the same bed
As I lay in bed, I realize today's nightmare doesn't feel so far away from yesterday's.
Rengar hunts most often if what he's after is going to be difficult to kill. However he's not a poacher. He's not going to go around killing endangered species if he knows they're endangered and he does research his intended prey before just charging after it. This doesn't mean he's like Nidalee, who's a hunter by necessity.
Judging by his complete inaction (or Riot just not writing anything about it) towards the Noxians that were cutting down parts of the Kumungu he doesn't seem to be one for conservation even if he's not one for hunting endangered species. His personality just doesn't suit it, at least on the surface. However I imagine the Kumungu to be several thousand miles of trees (with similarities to the Amazon in many aspects) so it has to be taken into account that he might just not have known about the logging. If he had known then he might not have acted on that knowledge or he might have gone to do something about it. The Kumungu is his home and contains more than a few unknown and dangerous creatures that live there that he still hasn't found and hunted I'm sure. He's not ignorant of that. If he were to act on Noxians destroying his home with their logging then it would be to talk about it first. My version of Rengar is only the bloodthirsty murderous man-hunter on the Fields and, as is possible, he were to be attacked by Noxian loggers for being what he is, then he would react in the same violent fashion.
Actually this gives me a reason for why he has a circumference of heads on pikes surrounding the edges of his territory. If he attempted to talk to Noxian loggers like a civilized being would and they attacked him for being (an admittedly terrifying looking) lion-man then the deaths of those people would draw hunters to try to track him down and kill him. This would/could start when he was still very young, when he had just started out on his own- so about seventeen or eighteen in my headcanons. It could lead towards his distrust and general bitterness towards humans.
