Fieldball Official Rules — Chapter 1: Court Layout (English Edition)
English Translation / Fieldball Project
⸻
1. Court Dimensions
A Fieldball court is a rectangular indoor field measuring:
• 40 meters (length / sideline)
• 20 meters (width / goal line)
The surface is typically indoor flooring such as wooden gym flooring or sports vinyl (Taraflex).
⸻
2. Main Boundary Lines
The court is defined by the following lines:
• Sidelines (40 m)
The long edges of the court.
• Goal Lines (20 m)
The short edges of the court.
Each team defends one goal line.
• Center Line
A straight line dividing the court into two halves.
It passes directly through the Center Circle.
• End Lines
Lines drawn 10 m inside each Goal Line, parallel to them.
These form the boundaries between the Goal End and the Central End.
⸻
3. Court Zones
The court is divided into four zones (from one end to the other):
1. Goal End (Defensive end)
2. Central End
3. Central End
4. Goal End (Opponent’s end)
Each “End” spans 10 meters, divided by the End Lines.
• Goal End
The zone closest to each goal.
• Central End
The two middle zones where most passing and tactical play occur.
⸻
4. Center Circle
• A circular area centered on the Center Line.
• Divided into two semicircles by the Center Line.
• Certain plays, such as Advantage Play captures, depend on whether both feet are inside this circle.
⸻
5. Goal & Goal Area
• Goal Dimensions
• Width: 3 meters
• Height: 2 meters
• Goal Area
• A semi-circular area in front of each goal.
• Only the Goalkeeper may enter this zone.
⸻
6. AP Area (Advantage Play Area)
One of the unique features of Fieldball.
• A rectangular lane extending from the outer edge of the Goal Area to the End Line.
• Width matches the goal width (3 m).
• The AP Player must dribble inside this lane during an Advantage Play attempt.
⸻
Summary
A Fieldball court combines elements of handball-style dimensions with unique tactical zones such as:
• The Central End (for inducing passes)
• The AP Area (for Advantage Play dribbles)
• A clear zone layout that shapes both offense and defense
This structure enables a fast-paced, highly strategic game.
