This is Part 1 out of 3 of the podfic for this story, covering chapters 1-8: Geralt reluctantly enjoys Jaskier braiding his hair; they rile up a shitty inn-keeper together; they get snowed in at a fancy castle (OH NOOO! Whatever will they do to pass the time????) and more! I know this story is technically Part 2 in a series but it can stand on its own and tbh I couldn’t wait to record it, so...  *Jaskier voice* Oops?

Parts 2 and 3--coming soon--will be just over an hour each. The 1st and 3rd stories in the Flora series will come after that! Altogether, the series should total at around 7 hours :p

Fantastic news! Don’t get me wrong, I also like the sap at times, it just makes me so happy that you keep Reyes in character as the shady scheming SMART bastard he is. Your fic is like the cherry of depth on top of a great character/romance and your Sara reminds me of femShep (can’t get better than that ;))

Aw, thank you so much!  I love writing super-shady Reyes too, even if it’s sometimes hard for me to write the twists and turns.  My brain doesn’t work like that!  But it’s a really interesting challenge, and I’ve really enjoyed trying to keep up.

the fic i meant is http://archiveofourown.org/works/10477620/chapters/23117088 . i very much recommend it. it is mainly fryderXreyes though and the avitusXbroryder arc only starts at chapter 6. it is nicely done though.

Right??  I like the idea that he gets a happy ending.  If you push him towards taking the Pathfinder role he seems to settle into it and get satisfaction from it, and I like to think that it’s a good way for him to grieve, too, giving him a healthy way to remember and memorialize Macen.  But I just really want him to have something more, and what better way to deal with this very large, very public role as a former black-ops guy than an easygoing young solider who grew up on the Citadel surrounded by turians and knows intimately what it’s like to live under the public eye, y’know?  There’s a lot of good stuff there.

Thanks!  I know I see a lot of people bagging on the writing in this game, but honestly there’s all sorts of little symblisms and nice thematic touches that I’m still finding, even a couple months out.  I find that kind of thing really satisfying, and personally it’s really great fodder for writing.
