Fantastic news! Don’t get me wrong, I also like the sap at times, it just makes me so happy that you keep Reyes in character as the shady scheming SMART bastard he is. Your fic is like the cherry of depth on top of a great character/romance and your Sara reminds me of femShep (can’t get better than that ;))

Aw, thank you so much!  I love writing super-shady Reyes too, even if it’s sometimes hard for me to write the twists and turns.  My brain doesn’t work like that!  But it’s a really interesting challenge, and I’ve really enjoyed trying to keep up.

the fic i meant is http://archiveofourown.org/works/10477620/chapters/23117088 . i very much recommend it. it is mainly fryderXreyes though and the avitusXbroryder arc only starts at chapter 6. it is nicely done though.

Right??  I like the idea that he gets a happy ending.  If you push him towards taking the Pathfinder role he seems to settle into it and get satisfaction from it, and I like to think that it’s a good way for him to grieve, too, giving him a healthy way to remember and memorialize Macen.  But I just really want him to have something more, and what better way to deal with this very large, very public role as a former black-ops guy than an easygoing young solider who grew up on the Citadel surrounded by turians and knows intimately what it’s like to live under the public eye, y’know?  There’s a lot of good stuff there.

Thanks!  I know I see a lot of people bagging on the writing in this game, but honestly there’s all sorts of little symblisms and nice thematic touches that I’m still finding, even a couple months out.  I find that kind of thing really satisfying, and personally it’s really great fodder for writing.

Right??? I checked the wiki and Avitus was apparently a Spectre for fifteen years, putting him in his mid-late thirties, depending on when Saren recruited him.  And it’s so odd to me because he seems so much younger than that—but maybe it’s just vulnerabity that we’re seeing, not youth.  And in a way both of them are at similar crossroads in their lives, though they’re arriving at them during very different ages.  I just feel like they could have a lot to offer each other!  And not even necessarily orgasms, heh.

I like it. I think it has been hinted at in "it had to be you" at AO3. But please continue your freyderXreyes fic first or i'll have to cry myself to sleep. nobody does them like you do and there is too much sap around. ;)

I don’t think I’m familiar with that one, you have a link for me?  I have a lot less time to read than I used to, so I mostly go off word of mouth when it comes to new fics these days.

And don’t worry, I’m still working on it.  I’m actually formatting the next chapter to post right now!  I’m as much a sucker for sap as the next gal, but I love to write some spiky, banter-y stuff, too.  Glad you’ve been enjoying it!

No, that’s the really obnoxious thing, at least for me- if I’m really short on sleep I wake up, feel miserable and grainy, and then by the time I’m out of the shower I actually feel fine!  I think I catch like a second wind or something, so I roll out to the rest of my day like “yeah, I got this, why don’t I do this all the time, I could get so much do-” and then wham!  It hits me like a ton of bricks, and I remember that I’m actually an idiot who makes poor decisions.
