@fielleuse sits in his lap, "hello, tell me about your latest murder please."
Yor finds himself reclining back into his seat, peering up when she settles in his lap. A curious thing is asked of him and the shadow’s head cants to the side. Silence is the answer at first. His latest murder? Murder itself was not the wrong word but given certain perspective it may have been called self defense.
“Saw my canon, a couple of Guardians. Given I am supposed to be dead I guess they figured I was one of those.. fanatics.” A tone of disdain meets the word before he continues on. “First one pressed forward and came at me.”
The offending weapon is drawn out of its holster, raised slowly to rest atop Ariadne’s thigh while still in hand. Vile whispers roll forward at the contact of cold steel and ancient bone and he knows very well what touch upon a weapon of Sorrow did. So, he moves it again when he starts talking, gesturing up to the air about them. “The first thorn went into his gut. He fell and was dead before the second could make a move.”
You were intimidating when I didn't know you but now you're 0 bc ur a nice bean.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how intimidating am I?
The fact you were actually intimidated by me is really funny. I DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW I CAME ACROSS BEING INTIMIDATING LIKE???? FJKHDHKGD
But it’s especially funny now that you’ve become witness to my squeaks of fear.

It’s pouring rain as Graves enters the graveyard with flowers in hand. It’s rare for him to visit his father, but once in a while he goes to pay his respects. The walk from the graveyard’s entrance to the back is a long one, but well worth it in his humble opinion. There is a woman standing next to the grave beside his father’s—it seems like he’s not the only one there on this raw and miserable day. The cold wind makes him shiver as he kneels down to set the flowers next to the gravestone. “Not the best day for mourning, is it?”

"I'll get the bengay."
“You’re such a stick in the mud, amor.”

The writer kisses her cheeks upon seeing her. He comes bearing exciting news! “I’ve signed a deal! I’m going to be published!” Graves grabs her face and kisses her again, this time on the corner of her mouth. He’s a little overzealous, but hell, he’s feeling more alive than he ever has. “Oh, oh, we should do something to celebrate. Order a pizza? Get totally wasted? The options are endless!”

Ah.
Gérard had long since located his estranged wife’s whereabouts. Could hardly believe she had actually set up base in that chateau.
Just the same, he was taken aback by her proximity. The fact that he could simply drop in whenever he wanted. He held himself back, however. Just getting used to the idea of an Overwatch recall, he still remained in the shadows for the most part. Not everyone even knew of his survival.
To say going back to work was difficult was an understatement. Widowmaker’s role in Talon was prominent. He didn’t suspect she held a place of power, but her presence in the files wasn’t easily disregarded.
Logistically, he had to accept that this was not his wife. That would make apprehending her all the more easier. Whether he could reason with her or not was a personal issue. Immaterial. Dealing with Talon took priority.
Dealing with Talon took priority.
So he sat, idle in an Annecy cafe, not dealing with Talon. He wasn’t doing anything. He was an idiot.
