Hello! What can you use old bee hives and honey comb for?
-They’re a great place to keep things you want to put energy into. Not physical things, but if you need help with motivation, or love, the energy that was put into the hive and honeycomb is great for that.
-A good place to hide things. It’s a different use of the energy, but hives are protected by the Bees, and they’ll give up their lives to do that. So if you have something you want to keep hidden, putting it in there is a good place, and ask the Bees to protect it.
-Keeping the hive in a relevant place in the home and using the Bee energy for protection is good.
Hi!
The reason why I’ve been gone so long, in case anyone cares or is curious, is because I’ve been on Facebook. Some of you may know that I am a writer and my writing career has taken off really well in the past year and Facebook is where I have made excellent and advantageous connections with other authors, editors, publishers, etc. And that is totally helping me.
Tumblr, I mainly use as my magick/occult blog and love to connect with my fellow practitioners. So since I have been focused on writing, I’ve had less focus on my magickal practices, hence being not so much on Tumblr. But things are changing and I’ve been pulled back to that side of me and have/am experiencing new crazy yet awesome things that I find being on Tumblr would help with.
But I am still focusing on my writing as well so I still may not be on Tumblr as often as I used to.
If anyone is interested in my writing, my Amazon Author page is here.
I also have a writer’s blog here that is up to date with my writing statuses as well anything that has to do with the horror, fantasy, science fiction, and weird field.
Writer's Blog
I have created a blog dedicated to my writing and published works as well as anything connected to writing and the subject matters I discuss, fellow writer's in my field, and my inspiration. Here it is, in case anyone would like to follow me on there or would like to look at my work, etc.
http://fiendlover.blogspot.com/
As a reminder, I write horror, fantasy, weird, and science fiction. Almost everything is dark and my work can be considered either Gothic and/or Romantic.
Influences include Edgar Allen Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, George Sterling, David Park Barnitz, Robert W. Chambers, Sheridan Le Fanu, Donald Sidney-Fryer, and more.
My mom found this while cleaning the garage. It belonged to my paternal grandmother and it is a Mexican Sun Stone. I'm not sure what stone it's carved from, maybe moonstone? It has no signature or stamp on it of any kind so I have no idea where it came from specifically or who made it. But it's freakin awesome!
Spectral Realms by Hippocampus Press
So the first issue of this new journal, Spectral Realms, just got put up today on the Hippocampus website here. It is only 15$ and you get plenty of Weird poetry from aspiring newcomers, like myself, and veterans such as Bruce Boston, W. H. Pugmire, and Richard L. Tierney with an awesome review of the last living original California Romantic, Donald Sidney-Fryer.
I have 3 sweet poems in here, one being inspired by the novella Vathek by William Beckford, which was said to have inspired the great Weird writer Clark Ashton Smith.
Hippocampus Press has been said to be "The world's leading publisher of books related to horror writer H. P. Lovecraft”—Publishers Weekly
So even if you're not a fan of poetry, there are plenty of other fantastic books to peruse on their site.
Enjoy!
Hello! Could I please get a reading on how my writing career is looking in the near future (this year and next)? Thank you!
This year, you will begin a new era of your career, and the catalyst to it will come soon. Next year, you will face some trifling financial matters, but not deep money troubles, and business will pick up.
Beware of predators, especially those posing as friends. You have the skills to sate your needs and be content.
That second last note is so true. It came up as part of the reading but actually, I wish someone told me that when I first started getting into the publishing side of things. I didn’t get plagiarized or scammed (I wasn’t that naive or unlucky), but I did find out that some people will ruthlessly screw you over.
The Stray Branch
I just got an awesome dark poem called Chartreuse published by The Stray Branch. It's an older poem of mine so the meter and isn't as great as it is now but the theme is unique and fascinating. It's a more dark psychological poem about two little girls who witness a murder but have blocked it out. You can read it for free here.
I would really appreciate anyone who reads it and any feedback they'd like to give me.
Thank you and enjoy!
