Before anyone starts no I'm not bashing Katherine. She use to be my second favorite character, because like Damon she never truly gave up who she was. Katherine didn't try to be someone she wasn't. Katherine was conniving, manipulative, selfish, reckless, only cared about herself, devious, sinister, and would do anything and everything to obtain what she wanted not caring of the casualties or consequences because to her she just saw it as collateral damage.
Katherine has always been that person who wants to be first choice and if she wasn't then she stopped with the chasing. Katherine has never been desperate.....
Until now
Time and time again she has taunted Damon for trying to be the better man or for waiting on Elena hand and foot. Katherine has literally taken passenger over Elena's body, not to live, but to chase after Stefan. Stefan the guy who when she was Elena confronted him on how he was doing with Katherine being dead answered with a simple I'm fine. At this point in time Katherine would have realized she had been used, an itch that needed to be scratched and real Katherine would have paid no mind to him. This Katherine is acting like some psycho you wouldn't be surprised if you suddenly found under Stefan's bed. The type who if you opened her notebook the name Stefan would be written numerous times. The writers have mad her annoying, desperate and I'm sorry but even pathetic. Katherine Pierce would never settle being anyone else, because she's happy with herself and who she is.
The writers have destroyed Katherine Pierce making her a desperate and clingy high-school ex girlfriend.
Each time death was almost greeted to her I found myself hoping she'd get out of it and that the writers wouldn't be stupid enough to kill such an important and well written character.
Now
I just want her dead, because truthfully speaking she already is. That part that everyone loved about Katherine Pierce is gone, because she's no longer Katherine.
