It’d been quite the eventful week and a trip away was just what they needed to reset their minds and relax. Matty placed their bags at the foot of the bed and let out a sigh, ready to get the weekend started --- specially after the long drive thanks to traffic.

He turned toward Valentina, a faint yet content smile in place. “So, what do you feel like doing tonight? I knew we’d be arriving in the evening, so I didn’t book anything specific for us in case we were too tired.” Eyes looked around the room and took in small details --- the dim lighting, unlit candles on a small bureau beside the bed, a white vintage couch by the windowsill, and a very comfortable looking bed with burgundy bedsheets and white pillowcases. It’d been a long day full of emergencies at work, then followed by a long drive --- the bed certainly looked inviting, though he preferred to spend time with Val first, sleep could wait.

Met @fierysongs for a birthday brunch. We just happened to be there when they were having their second ever Drag Brunch. I did not plan that, but it was awesome. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR!

She hadn't spotted Val in a few days and started to wonder if the siren had given up on waiting for her, but a lot had changed in a few weeks and there was a lot to share. After shoving the sacks with the others, Brandy approached the shoreline with a smile. "I was beginning to think you gave up looking for me," She chuckled, glancing back at the docked boat. "I don't have much time."
