Lost In A Drunken Haze || fifiones
Carter had only moved to Toronto a week ago, but she had managed to get herself invited to a party. She wasn't even sure if the guys who invited her were cool or knew what a good party was like, but they said they went to Degrassi and kids from Degrassi would for sure be at the party. She wanted to mingle, have a few drinks, and have her first crazy night in this new and unfamiliar town. There was no need to tell her mother where she was going or when she'd get back, the older woman was already passed out from a long day at work. Getting ready, she grabbed the keys to her car and bounced excitedly out the door, humming to herself as she made her way to her car. Once inside, she put the address she was given into her phone and followed the directions given. The entire ride she hoped silently that this wasn't some kind of prank or even a scheme, maybe she had put a little too much trust into a group of teenage boys she didn't know at all. To her relief, as she grew closer to her destination, she heard the soft beating of music and it only grew louder and louder until she was parking across the street from the house, hearing the laughter and cheering alongside the loud and vivacious music.
The short haired petite had no problem with her self esteem. She walked from her car and towards the house, her hips swinging and her straightened hair swishing. Her eyes scanned around her as she entered the crowded area, daring each and every person she passed to approached her and try to impress her. The girl's eyes landed on the table of drinks. She quickly made her way towards it and grabbed a cup, taking a shot before she made herself a mixed drink. Carter wasn't a lightweight in the least, but she easily got herself to that pleasurable place of being comfortably numb. Taking a sip from her cup, she moved easily towards the large group of teens dancing and grinding on each other. With a smirk on her lips, she boldly joined the strangers, taking a large chug from her cup before lifting her hands and moving her body to the music. Her eyes caught sight of a girl sitting on a couch nearby. She didn't look to be with anyone and Carter decided this was her chance to make a friend. Dancing over to the lonely girl, she held out her hand invitingly, "Wanna dance? I'm Carter and I promise I'm not a creep like half the people here. Just the new girl in town, looking to make a friend or two." She smiled warmly for the random girl, her body still moving as her arm continued to extent in hopes it'd get the girl up and to the dance floor.
