i can kinda relate to your post about representation, like before taako & lup i didnt see myself in any character. like theyre so important to me as a trans mlm, mostly because they got happy endings and i really needed to know that was a possibility. gods bless the mcelroys
yeah like!!!! before taz, and specifically carey and killian, the only wlw rep i could think of that i saw in the stuff i watched was santana and brittany from glee, which was treated as a joke for like..... most of the seasons that i watched
and, like, yeah, i could’ve just “watched more stuff with lesbians in it” but, like, at the end of the day, if something isn’t in my wheelhouse, i shouldn’t have to watch it to feel represented? i shouldn’t have to lower my standards just to feel like a human being, only for that one little thing of representation to be killed anyway? but balance showed that there’s happy endings and that love is possible and, like, literally, ik we all know that my lifeblood is carey/killian but, like,,,,,, that relationship literally makes me feel so much better abt myself as a lesbian and makes me so much more hopeful for finding love
