Recently I had a chance to revisit one of my favorite book, the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. The American edition that I read was the 1987 The Hobbit 50th Anniversary, published by Houghton Mifflin Company. Bookclub edition, 1st variant.

When I came across page 121, I saw this funny text that was squeezed together so tightly...
