Here’s a video for a song from my latest album, “Burn It Down Gently.” This one is for the song “The Corner of Pierce and Clay.” It’s a song I chose to do a video for, because I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback for the song since I wrote it. It’s more or less a lullaby. Not for a child, but still a lullaby.
This video was shot in my living room with 2 stationary cameras and a handheld camera. I recorded the sound in a very similar way to how I recorded the album. But to avoid too much traffic noise from the road outside, I opted to record the guitar with only the pick-up in the soundhole. Of course the ribbon mic did get some guitar, but it was primarily for the vocals. I kind of kick myself for not using that mic on the album, but it wasn’t necessarily 100% practical.
My old friend Steve Williams edited this video for me, as well as the previous video on my channel.
Note: I had to delete this video from YouTube, and re-upload it, because of a single typo in the link data. It was impossible to correct. Here’s the newly uploaded video.
