Old feelings.

Weeks without talking, yet not a day without a thought.

Everyday I want to text, but still I hesitate.

Is this one-sided? Is it just me?

Am I alone in my loneliness? Will I ever get peace?

Is you that I want or just companionship?

You're the person who saw me when no one else did.

Made me laugh when I felt like crying, and just held me when I needed it.

I wanted that forever, officially.

However, everytime I tried you shut me down with hurtful slurs.

I thought I let you go but then I have days like this where you're all I want.

Still I'm afraid to say anything because that's when your words hurt.

So I distance myself more and more in hope that it will help.

The feelings fade, but now I find myself longing for that feeling once more.

The warmth of attraction and instant excitement when the object is in sight.

But I've decided I will win this inner fight!
