“Remind me again how this is happening?” Tali frowned a little, fingers playing with the bottom of her shirt. She looked around the store and felt her nervousness rise again. This...this was a big step. Her eyes went back to her boyfriend---no ex boyfriend. They weren’t dating anymore but they were still roommates. The place they shared was big enough for the two of them and neither wanted to give up one of the best apartments in the city. So they agreed to be roommates, which was stupid because it only made it that much harder to get over him and forced her to play nice with his steady stream of one night stands. It hurt more than Tali was ever willing to admit.
“Chris said it would be a good idea. Blame him.” And Levi was going to blame him, for all of it. His eyes glanced at her before skittering away. He had found himself doing that a lot lately, staring at her. Which was bad because they weren’t dating anymore. Not for a lack of love though, he was still in love with Tali after all but there always seemed to be something...missing in their relationship. Chris had recommended adopting a Bittie, said it would help their relationship. He really hoped so. Levi stepped up to the counter. “Um, we’re here to adopt a Bittie?”
