Rough timeline

To help Monbebes get a clear picture of how this all escalated.

Sept 2019: MX returns from Germany and wonho is supposedly searched and hair/fluid samples taken. Pictures and video of people at airport claim there was no time between the plane landing and MX leaving the airport for a search and sample collection to have had happen.

Early Oct: police interview jde and “jo” regarding an accusation that W smokes marijuana in 2013. Both have been deemed credible testimonies as they were the same. Also of note, both jde and jo were in separate detention centres at the time of the interviews (jo for drug use and jde not specified), and both mentioned the exact same details (down to the name of the designer of the belt), jo heard jde say the name Hoseok, but never saw the person, jde told Jo Hoseok was a trainee.

Oct 26-28: a twitter account shared a video of a fan sign from March and insinuated that Minhyuk and Wonho were mocking the me too movement. Monbebes in attendance claimed that wonho had been speaking English throughout the fan sign due to a lot of imbb in attendance and it was meant as he wanted to speak as well. Hate accts appears on the official fan cafe demanding apologies from M and W. Starship releases an apology, but the hate accts still demanded individual apologies. M and W issue apologies.

Oct 30-31: jde post a photo of W on her Instagram insinuating he owes her money. MX attends awards, W looks visibly upset. HSH joined jde by making claims W spent time in juvenile detention. Starship lawyers contact jde asking what debt she is referring to, jde posts conversation on her insta.

During the m countdown filming W was tearing up throughout it and ended up crying. Starship says the rumours are not true and will take legal action. hsh posts a dm on her insta that claims shownu had an affair with a married woman. Starship issue a statement regarding this.

W and starship announce wonho’s departure from MX.

Nov 1: monbebes rally together and demand starship take legal action and reinstate wonho to the group. A petition was created to stop wonho leaving, it garnered over 300,00 signatures. Monbebe flooded fan cafe with messages of love and support for W and MX. Twitter #원호탈퇴반대 created and trended worldwide. #원호사랑해 also created a s trended worldwide. Wonho, Kihyun and Jooheon login time fan cafe over the next few hours. Fan cafe staff also adding messages of love and support.

Dispatch claims W and jde smoked marijuana together in 2013. Article on Naver claims starship has terminated W contract and knew nothing of marijuana scandal. MX pre-record music bank as 6 members, live portion cancelled, all fan signs for the week cancelled. Photos surface is jde in front of a board with wonho’s picture and notes, and the drawing from the marijuana claim article. The picture looks like jde is with dispatch planning this entire thing.

Currently: starship has maintained silence and have not released an official statement. Monbebes launched a protest in Seoul and via the internet. #fightforwonho and other hashtags trended worldwide. Some articles have been removed from Naver. Western media has started covering the fight to get wonho back in Monsta X. MX are scheduled to perform on music core. Monbebes raised more than Usd$10,000 for a billboard in NYC’s Times Square. Other monbebes from other countries have followed suit. Other fandoms have joined in the protest and are supporting monbebes.

If I have missed anything please feel free to add it. So much has happened in the last few days and it is hard to keep track of it all.

Don’t forget to keep supporting wonho and Monsta X, keep the hashtags trending, post messages of support on the fan cafe, and keep being your badass selves monbebe! This is something worth fighting for, Wonho is someone worth fighting for!

Hi Shawols, Taemints, fans of SuperM, and multifandoms!

As kpop fans, what happened to Wonho affects us, regardless of whether we’re Monbebe. This week showed us an example of what can happen in a heartbeat to any of the idols we support and love.

It seems that historically there has been so much pressure for idols to be perfect, if they became victims of slander, the only way to protect their group and company was for them to leave (or be forced out)—whether or not they actually did anything wrong. Just the smear of controversy was enough.

But the tide seems to be turning. Fans are fighting for their idols’ right to be considered innocent until proven guilty, for their mistakes to be forgiven, if appropriate, and for their companies to fight for them, not abandon them.

If we want to see a precedent where a company is forced to look at the evidence, consider the consequences, and stand up and support its idols against malicious rumours and attacks, then we shouldn’t wait for what happened to Wonho to happen to our faves.

Let’s support Monbebe and let the industry know that our hard-working idols and their fans deserve better.

A hopeful message to all the monbebes who are starting to feel demotivated:

My personal opinion is that ss is trying to wait until the legal stuff is over and people forget about it to bring Wonho back. There's no official proof that his contract was terminated.

If this is true and they are acting like it, makes total sense that neither ss or mx say anything that could give us neither hope neither the contrary.

Monsta X we do all truly shine better as a family. This fight is far from over. We still continue do to justice that is right for Wonho and shownu and the rest of the group. They have given us so much we need to return the favor to them.
