DISCLAIMER: I am not psychic. The things that happen in this reading may be true, may not. A big part of doing tarot is knowing a person, or at least being able to know a few things about the person. You’re not sitting in front of me, so it’s a bit tough. And remember: tarot doesn’t dictate the future. It points out things that you may want to look out for. You can always change your destiny.
TAGGING: I will be tagging these posts as Tarot, if you don’t want to see them on your dash!
QUESTION: @fightitigniteit asked for a general reading.
1. The Question. The interpretation of this card will help define the question.
THE TOWER: Something life-changing and catastrophic has occurred with suddenness, possibly the severance of an important relationship to you. Because you were blindsided with this change, you’ve felt unstable, and it’s been a loss of a source of security for you. These changes have lead you to seek counsel.
2. This card describes the events and the general situation that lead up to the question.
SEVEN OF SWORDS: The Thief card. Basically, either you, or someone around you, has committed an act of betrayal or theft. That action was unexpected, and probably lead to whatever caused The Tower.
3. This card shows how the seeker has tried to answer the question, or it may indicate the character strength or flaw that has the most bearing on the solution.
FOUR OF PENTACLES: The Miser card. You’ve exhibited selfishness, shortsightedness, and the inability to let go. There are two sides to every story and, perhaps, you are as guilty as whoever may have wronged you. The imbalance of emotion (where you give and they take with no return) has led to an imbalance in your relationship with that person.
4. Specifically this card may represent the influence of co-workers, friends, or family.
THE WORLD: The end of a way of life, but a new beginning. Perhaps a change of location, and hope for the future. New people will come into your life, and it will, perhaps, signal a large change. (Perhaps this change is what you’re experiencing in The Tower, but you have had difficulties seeing it as a positive.) Allow yourself to be open, but also to shed the problems of the past. (Don’t be the Miser, let go of whoever wronged you.)
5. This card represents the answer to the problem. The appropriate action to take is inherent in the interpretation of this card.
TEN OF SWORDS (INVERTED): When upright, this is the “No, it is that bad!” card, signaling misfortune and ruin. However, when inverted, it shows evil overthrown, courage, and recovery. (Perhaps, even, a spiritual reawakening.) Things will get better. I think that this card, in particular, shows that you will overcome the situation in The Tower (the evil that you may, right now, think is “that bad”) and this card should signal that you should have hope for the future, perhaps in a new lifestyle.
