Everyone knows I’m pretty vocal and unapologetic about my trans identity. For me every month is Trans awareness month, being that I’m not only trans but a trans person who’s disadvantaged in many different ways. That being said I’ve remained strong and have powered through most of my challenges since coming out a little over two years ago and starting hormones a little over 15 months ago. I know that despite my disadvantages I also have privileges to match. With that privilege I’d like to use my voice to say please never forget about trans folks out here who are trying hard to stay alive and find our place in a world that says we need to not exist. Please keep in mind the businesses who openly work to exclude us. Help us in the fight to gain basic human rights and equality.
