I've been wanting to do this for a long time, now it's finally possible. I'll do mini chibi figures of characters, like the ones above! 25-35 USD + shipping depending on complexity, ToS under the cut
For more examples of my sculpting skills(but I won't do scales because it's too much work), here's some Pandora Hearts merch I've made, and some other sculptures:
The figures will be tiny, around the same size as Nendoroid Petites, which is half of regular Nendoroids (4-6cm).
References are always appreciated
Will be made of resin, air dry clay, and sometimes pieces of plastic or wood. Predominantly resin and clay.
There's the option for proportions between 1 and 2. Flandre Nendoroid is for size comparison only. No price difference.
I'll add a stand to make sure the figure can stand properly, but it won't be removable.
No LED parts (though I'd love to, the post office told me it might get rejected at customs)
Price depends on complexity of the character. I'll give you a price (+ shipping estimate for your country) after looking at the character, and you can decide whether you want it or not,and I'll start working on it. I'll send you WIP shots occasionally.
Payment after the figure is made or almost finished, and before shipping.
Making time is 7-14 days, hopefully, but may be more because I have a volatile schedule. I'll definitely let you know and keep you updated though.
Making these take time,so if you want to pay after a few weeks, you can give me a character to start making, and pay when you're ready. I'll hold onto it for a month.
Shipping is combined for multiple figures. If you want to add another figure after I've started, or even finished, making the first, that's fine, I'll ship it together.
Shipping will be through tracked international parcel post, takes 2-4 weeks, but duration not in my hands. Domestically, speed post, takes 3-5 days.
Payment via PayPal, or GPay/UPI if in India
I can add a fuzzy Luna or crimson moon vampire like this,or anything similar if you want, for 5 usd.
I can only work on 2-3 figures at max at a time,so if I get more requests, I'll reserve a slot, and contact you when I'm ready to start
I hold the right to turn down an offer for whatever reason.
And questions, feel free to ask on DMs. I'm also active on Discord nowadays, Flameheart3794 ,but Tumblr DMs are always open for queries!
has anyone here done any alterations to S.H. Monster Arts Godzilla figures for customs?
I'm looking for someone to possibly hire for this or, at least give some pointers, but I am hoping to bring my sona; Giganax, to life by customizing a figure... since she's based off Godzilla.
For this I imagine joints would have to be removed to add fur to, and the ears would probably have to be sculpted and glued on somehow. If anyone is willing to help me out here it's much appreciated!
What paint was used on that Mina figure? It looks very smooth!
I almost always use Delta Ceramcoat, at least when it comes to painting on plastic for things like custom figures.
As far as acrylic paints go, this brand is the one I get the best results out of. It’s pretty cheap, too, depending on where and when you buy this stuff. A month of two ago I manage to buy a good amount of different colors when it was sale for 90 cents each.
The method I use when painting things like figures or plastics with this stuff also helps. Basically, I paint on at least one layer of white paint first. It’s not only to help make painting on lighter colors like yellows easier, but it also helps to serve as a primer for any color in general. I also usually paint on the colors in thinner layers at a time, too. Best of all, after sealing everything this stuff doesn’t peel or chip off as easily as the other acrylic type paints I used in the past(but this one depends more on the material and surface you’re painting on).
I would like to eventually try out paints like Vallejo,Testors, Citadel, and other paints more intended for model painting. But until then this is the type of paint I stick with.
i have seen your the My Little Pony customs you made back in the day and i have to say they are really cute and well made! do you ever plan on making custom figures again?
I want to get back into making figure customs, and I’m currently planning on doing so. However they won’t be My Little Pony customs. I plan on, obviously, trying my hand at making custom figures for Sonic characters.(No points for guessing which characters I plan on making.)
I recently discovered these neat little simple, and cheap, series of figures called Pinky St., and they’re perfect for doing customs of anime like figures in general.
Despite the line being discontinued, you can still find the basic line of Pinky St. for cheap online. However, I still plan on making molds of parts of the figures I’m getting to use as bases, so I can go and cast duplicates for any future customs, because time will eventually catch up and make things become more scarce. It also save money in the long run.
On top of the Pinky St. figures, I am currently looking into acquiring as much of the 3" Sonic figures that Jazwares produced as possible, and as affordable as possible. Because like the Pinky St. figure line, the Jazwares Sonic figure line has been discontinued and ended production. Like I’m planning on doing with the Pinky St. figures I’m getting, I want to make molds out of the parts of the Sonic Jazwares figures, in order to cast duplicates for future customs. I find doing this with the Jazwares Sonic figures is all the more imperative now, as the prices for allot of them have gone up since then and are only going to go up even more over time as they become more scarce. I don’t even need to get officially licensed figures for me to do this. The figures can be cheap bootlegged Jazwares figures from China for all I care. All that matters to me is if I can make a mold from it.
I’m looking into doing the same thing with the Sonic Boom figures made by TOMY, too. Because the Sonic Boom toyline isn’t going to be in production forever as well, and it doesn’t with assfuck scalpers hiking up the prices for figures of certain characters.(I was lucky to get a Sticks figure for a pretty decent price when I did.)
So yes. I’m planning on getting back into doing custom figures. They’re just going to be more elaborate than My Little Pony ones.
