I appreciate it. It’s just the main person, all the people I work with daily are super lovely. I just am really really incredibly stressed and the new requirements of my existence feel impossible.

God this is tricky and also very relevant. I’m honestly gonna say that I’m not sure anymore?

I think there’s a contentment that comes with it, but I’m also aware that contentment is contentious especially with mental illness making it really hard. Maybe satisfaction is a better word, but even then, you can be satisfied without being happy, you know?

I think there’s maybe a calmness to it. An ease about it as if you can just...be, as much as possible.

That’s concerning happiness as an achievable thing for me. I think as a theoretical concept, I see happiness as being powerful and a really intense form of resistance in some ways, and I don’t really agree with the idea that “ignorance is bliss” because I believe that happiness is being able to stare the world in the face and feel okay.

So maybe that’s what happiness is.

I was thinking about this - my cat kept pooping/peeing/barfing on the bed/couch/flat surface and it turned out she was severely constipated (and then she got a uti). Not sure if Eloise was just being a bad kitty or wanted your attention though because my cat is an old lady cat. Anyway Eloise still looks angelic :D

She looks angelic but she’s a fluffy orange hellspawn who knows exactly what she’s doing. Sigh. She started the peeing-on-the-couch after I went to VidCon, so I think it may have been in protest because the room was messy and then she was attracted to the smell in the couch despite my efforts to clean? I’m getting some heavy duty pet cleaners next.
