The doors to the medical bay hissed open despite the late hour as Phasma strolled in. She had not expected anyone to survive the fight on Takodana, especially when none returned. But to her surprise, FN-2199 had survived and hauled himself back despite his injuries. She respected that.
The captain hadn’t been present when they brought him on board, nor taken him to the medical bay. She had been busy training and teaching the newest recruits that had been sent to her. Some of them possessed great potential. Then she’d gone on her patrols and finished up. But she came, despite the late hour, to see him.
“FN-2199. You came back. I received word you had been shot and had joined the rest in death.” A small pause. “I’m pleased you came back despite your injuries.” High praise almost never heard from Phasma to any of her troopers. “How bad is it?”
