#file corruption

I worked HOURS on a concept art for Jay in my RPG fantasy au, and the file got CORRUPTED. All that remains is this crappy photo of my colours and the sketches....

I was gonna post chapter one of Ephraim's story tonight but the file corrupted and there's no way to recover it. So it's going up tomorrow completely rewritten ಥ_ಥ

Every time I open FA, my computer tells me it is a corrupt file and unusable, yet the program still seems to work fine. Is this something I should worry about? How should I fix it?
