Misconceptions about Atheism
There are many misconceptions about atheism. Sometimes it’s difficult for teenagers to explain the difference between these misconceptions and what atheism is actually about to our parents and loved ones. I’m going to tackle seven misconceptions about atheism from a teenage perspective, or at least from my teenage perspective. They all come from here, a page written by Keith Parsons in 1998. Even though these ideas are twenty, almost thirty years old, many people, including my own parents, still believe these are things atheists feel and believe. I haven’t read Parsons’ opinion on these matters yet, I’ve only put in my own understanding and perception of these concepts. This is 100% my skeptical, teenage opinion on these topics.
