Mom asked me to buy her a cake for her birthday.

I don’t mind.

But it hurts.

Why does it hurt?

Because even in this, you didn’t even ask my brother. Who is four years older than me. Who has a higher allowance than myself. The person that actually wouldn’t need to save up for weeks just to get you the damn thing.

You didn’t ask him at all.

Why?

Because he’s your beloved son.

Something I’ll never be.

Right?

◎ What is something you regret the most.

Hm.

There are many things I regret in my redacted amount of years of life, though I attempt to strive to live with the motto to live life without such negativity as regret, but there are some things you cannot avoid.

I suppose how I have treated my daughter for some years, or rather all her years. I've been absent, unfair, and I'm aware of how I lack empathy for her predicaments and cannot offer substantial advice as I would someone else. Since I have a direct tie to her I cannot sever myself and my personal feelings from the situation, and therefore offer anything helpful besides a poor "now, now, darling, that is no way to think." or a "you poor dear."

I do not like to sound like that. However I am useless otherwise.I am not suited to the matronly lifestyle.

Or to mother my own kin, I suppose.
