there’s nothing more invigorating than a morning jog to start his day off right. and today is saturday, which, is even better because that means he’s off work. he can take the day a little easier -- well to a degree. he still has plenty of errands and chores to get done over the weekend. but for now, he’s taking some time to himself, jogging around the park with his dog, remy.
the onset of fall has come. this is steve’s favorite time of year -- when the leaves change and the temperature begins to cool: it’s sweater weather. pumpkin spice latte weather (he’s not even ashamed to admit he loves them. even a student of his called him a basic bitch (teasingly) when he carried one into class one morning and he didn’t even care).
steve slows his pace down and finally stops so remy can sniff at something. he needs a breather, anyway. he takes the moment to place his hands on his hips and looks around at the beautiful scenery. and that’s when his dog starts pulling and jumping. “remy...jeez!” he says, tugging the dog back just before he almost leaps on the a woman jogger. “hey, down boy....” he scolds, grabbing a hold of the collar to settle him. “gosh, i’m really sorry. he gets very excited about new faces.” he apologizes, looking up at the woman.
“he didn’t jump on you did he?”
