I am hella slow in both ask memes and threads. Sometimes I can go 2+ months between replies. If that’s an issue for you, I’m not the blog for you.

This blog is non-IW and non-EG compliant. I have verses for them, but my main/assumed verse is post-CW.

My Bucky is chubby! Think CW!Bucky plus… maybe 15-20 pounds? He likes to bake sweets and explore new foods and not train himself into the ground so he’s softened up during recovery

The Soldier is still part of him on a day-to-day basis, but more-so as instincts and skills and automatic thoughts. This is especially close to the surface during fights, Bad Days, or panic attacks.

Bucky is Jewish, on his mother’s side. He doesn’t practice much (his faith in general is questionable), but he keeps kosher when he can, and observes some of the bigger holidays

He has brain damage. In short, due to the electricity sent directly through his brains, he has lasting damage that results in (but is not limited to) the following: Increased PTSD symptoms and mood swings, chronic fatigue or pain, trembling or numbness in extremities, worsening memory, difficulty reading/retaining, occasional seizures or collapses

This stuff with Rumlow is a perfect time to tell you all about my headcanon that Bucky literally inspires a must protecc urge in almost every person he befriends. Sure, Bucky can absolutely take care of himself, and has had to for years. But no one can look at Bucky and not get attached. Like, he is big and muscly and deadly, but he is smol and people can see that. He is kind and generous and loyal, and overall is soft and always tries to do good. People gravitate towards him, once they get past the scary exterior and he lets them past his walls.

Bucky doesn’t realize this, though. Each time someone offers to stand up for him, defend him, stick by him, etc it surprises him. Not only does he see himself as someone who isn’t good with people, doesn’t have a ton of friends, and at his worst that he doesn’t deserve friends or love or anything, but he also is always paranoid people just want something from him or are working towards their own goals. But he has so many people in his corner, who he thinks just tolerate or pity him, even though they would die for him (and to be honest he would die for them too, no matter what he thinks they think of him).

One of Bucky’s greatest powers is that he can wrap people around his little finger, and he doesn’t even realize it.

Reference post for my Buck! He’s softened during his years in recovery, thanks to fully embracing the wide varieties of foods in the future, learning to bake, and no longer being on a hellish workout regimen. The serum keeps him strong but he’s like a pillow, little love handles and chunky thighs included.

Also putting Jay Ryan here bc he’s sorta close to what I imagine. He’s also just plain pretty.
