“And She stood in contemplation upon the waters of the first darkness; like a great Dove upon the waters She brooded. 4 And She became absorbed within Her and communed with Her own Self; and Her light ceased to shine forth from Her, and yet Her light grew greater. 5 And She fell to Her knees. And the surface of the waters became turbulent, and the great waves curled over Her, and their white foam could not be seen in all that darkness.6 And when the waters became calm again, the Mistress of All Things rose to Her feet. 7 For She had conceived a Daughter that was not separate from Her, but one with Her, and the child of Her Light.” -Eastminster vol1, The Clear Recital. Rejoice! Anna is born, our blessed Princess Who leads us home <3
Whether you’re celebrating Daughter’s Day or the Feast of the Star Maiden (Janites) tomorrow, I hope you have a magickal day filled with love and light and that you feel Dea’s presence. <3
Blessed Daughter’s Day to all Janites! I observe Daughter’s Day on the 25th like the Chapel of Our Mother God Filianists, but I hope you all have a beautiful day.
@hoennsnail:
i personally like Nativity because I think it sounds pretty lol, but I dont think Yuletide would be to pagan associated to be unable to use it
I was happy with Yuletide at first but then a lot of what I’m finding has to do with the Germanic horned god/sun god so I’m a bit? Iffy about it? I might use it alongside Filiadi that Moxxi suggested though because actually I think it sometimes helps to have common ground with mainstream pagans
@shadette i was thinking smth similar and i thought of 'Filiadi'? 'Filia' ofc referring to the Holy Daughter and '-di' as the french suffix meaning 'day' that Deanic.com uses for the days of the week. so 'Daughter's Day'
oh wow, this is a pretty amazing idea, actually. Advent to refer to the specific time period, and Filiadi for the actual day? I might go with that. thank you!
