Because I love fucky dynamics and Omegaverse I figure in this particular au (Gifted?) alphas make decisions/protect the den; betas do the day to day running of the pack and raise the Alpha&beta kids once they hit 5ish; and omegas are there for sexual release, reinforce pack bonds, early childcare & raise any omega children (they're too simple to have more complex responsibilities, and poor things just need to be bred during their heats. Everyone knows it's cruel to have an omega with an empty belly and no pup on their breasts).

The only reason an alpha would bring an omega into a pack, as opposed to them being born to it, is if they're going to reproduce, which is why they're gifted by a courting alpha to the courted alpha. A single alpha bringing an omega into their pack is basically either announcing that they're going to be a single parent .... Or they've bought themselves what's essentially a sex toy. Bruce didn't get a pup on Jay, so everyone thinks he was bought for sex. Dick's low key offended that Bruce didn't invite him to share any of Jay's heats (sharing an omega's heat is the easiest way to reinforce pack bonds).

When he sees Jay post-revivification, Dick basically swallows his own tongue (because damn, the omega got hot) and immediately asks when Jay's heat is scheduled so he can arrange for time off.

Do Jason and Dick have pictures of each other on their wallests or as their phones background?

I think the pictures in the wallet thing is a bit old fashioned (who has physical photos these days?) but civilian Dick Grayson definitely has a cute selfie w his bf as his home screen - his lock screen is more generic since it’s more likely to be photographed by paps. Jason didn’t change his from the defaults, but Dick occasionally steals his phone and changes the wallpapers to selfies (it’s both adorable and functions as a tease, since Dick managed to steal Jay’s phone and remain undetected for as long as it took to do it). if they have phones belonging to their superhero identities, they both use whatever the default is

... If a different company buys this site, any company, I hope that they address the issues about adult content. I might be way off but a logical solution, to me, would be to make users input their birthdates. Like almost every other freaking website in existence that lets you create an account. Just implement an adult content filter. It's not rocket science. Even DeviantArt figured that out a least a decade ago. (Uh. Vague discussion of P0*n Hub's practices towards the end of this. Just warning you in advance.)

Sure minors might lie about their age to look at age restricted stuff, but they really shouldn't do that. (Guilt prevented me from lying about my age online as a kid, but apparently that's not usually the case.) I was under the impression that forcing users to verify their age legally covered websites that hosted adult content.

And this is gonna sound weird, but it would be best if it's purchased either by another American company or the servers remain in the US. Or at the very least like, a Canadian company or something. Somewhere with similar laws regarding the internet and media content or whatever. Otherwise Tumblr could very well end up like LiveJournal. They were bought by a Russian company in 2007. The servers remained in the US until 2017. After they moved to servers in Russia, they had to change the ToS to comply with Russian laws.

It would be unfortunate if the next owner of this site banned minors, since some of em are artists with an established following here. But if it came down to either ban the minors or shutdown the site... Well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'd rather they make the site 18+ than end it.

And uh. I was under the impression that a certain adult site had an issue with asshats reposting content. Not that the company officially endorsed that kinda thing. I thought you could report stuff like that, anyway. Logically, a site that hosts that kinda stuff would be well equipped to deal with quickly removing/ (possibly preemptively blocking?) illegal content involving minors. They wouldn't be able to function otherwise. (The Feds would be breathing down their necks, for one thing.)

And another thing- regardless of who buys Tumblr, this site isn't automatically gonna become a clone of any other sites the company owns. That's... really not how that works. One more thing- a lot of sex workers used to use this site for business purposes. Like, actual people. Adult humans. Not bots that spew Mad Libs. And artists and writers who produced adult content used this site too. From what I've seen, they haven't really been able to find a new replacement platform yet. The ideal solution would be P0*n Hub doesn't buy Tumblr and the new owner implements a functional adult content filter.

For the record, the only other still living birds that really creep me out or I dislike for weird reasons are cassowaries and herons. Cassowaries are surprisingly vicious monsters. As for herons, I'm just wary of any non raptor or corvid birds that will hunt other birds. (Scavengers don't bother me.) It's like some kinda instinctive "aberration!!" revulsion.

Oh, and pelicans that don't stick to eating fish absolutely creep me the hell out. That just seems like a particularly disturbing kind of wrong. I've lived near the ocean for most of my life. Thankfully I don't think I've ever seen the pelicans in this part of the state hunt anything besides fish. Those pelicans are cool with me.

Seagulls are incredibly obnoxious when they start trying to get into trash cans. But I have to wonder now if they do so out of desperation, not laziness... But it seems like they're just lazy. Too used to human food that they shouldn't even be trying to eat. So their waste is an unholy mess, worse than usual. It's gross.

... I personally don't see the point in the term Latinx. Spanish already has a gender neutral equivalent- Latino. Latino is the masculine form but it's also the default.

I've referred to myself as Latino before even though I'm not male. I dunno. If you're a Latin American, feel free to refer to yourself however you wish. It just doesn't seem like Spanish speakers really use the term Latinx in speech. Spanish is structured differently from English. In English, adjectives aren't gendered. In Spanish, an adjective is either masculine or feminine depending on its noun.

M-maybe staff actually did that on purpose? So they could *claim* that they were banning adult content? (I'm referring to a certain post about making a flagged blog visible again.) Or some of the programmers decided to rebel and left it open like that...?

On a related note, those of you who preventatively block people might want to block ra/dical/fe/m/oftheday. (I'm not big into "callout" posts but I kinda don't want to make a post implicitly in response to their stupid post and then block them without, like, warning y'all. Hopefully this is our last KJ tag bullshit for a while. 🙄)
