Munna Sherif Biography
Munna Sherif (born 18th August 1994) is a British Youtuber, Content Creator, Videographer, Video Editor and Anxiety Activist of Libyan and Pakistani Descent.
She studied Television and Film Production at college and went on to work as a Freelance Videographer, Photographer and Editor shooting events, music videos and adverts for many well known British restaurant franchises such as Kervan Sofrasi, Ezras Kitchen, Big Moes Diner and many more.
Growing up in a multicultural household, Munna would create comedy videos mimicking her experiences with her parents as well as uploading vlogs on her YouTube channel.
In 2018 Munna won the Vlogstar award at the Baftas, presented to her by British Actor/Director Noel Clark. Her winning video based on her experience’s dealing with anxiety not only captivated the audience, but it emotionally moved the celebrity judging panel (Ashley Walters, Mariah Idrissi, Humza Arshad many more).
Following Munna's award, she went on to talk about her struggles with anxiety on BBC Radio London’s Drivetime show hosted by Eddie Nestor as well as Sky TV’s Islam Channels Living the life Show. Munna also had her story published in the Evening Standard and Mercury newspapers.
Her burning desire for acting has led her to be Tina Desai’s stand-in for the Hit Netflix Show Sense 8, along with her many experiences being an extra on Universal Film Sets such as the most recent Film by British Director Gurinda Chadha - Blinded by your light.
Munna hopes to go on to create more moving short films and vlogs based on her experiences with anxiety as well as work within the television, film and radio industry where she can put her filming and editing skills to practice and learn more from the very best within the industry.
She is currently enrolled on the Media Trust Creativity Works Programme, hosted by British Broadcaster, Producer, Director, and Columnist Jasmine Dotiwala, alongside Photographer Richard Pascoe and Journalist Reshma Biring.
