Finding Chibi

Azizah had been partially lying when she said she was  going in search of numbers for delivery. Pizza and Chinese did sound amazing but the way Evan had looked at the man suggested intimacy and Azizah felt as if she should grant him that.

Because Evan deserved some happiness,

And knowing what she knew about Nolan made her want to break the man's fingers and eat them.

Going in search of her cell phone, she paused as she saw a door slightly ajar. Halting in her tracks, she pushed her face forward and peered into the darkness.

"Hello?" she grinned wicked. "Any delicious morsels here?"

The Party (closed rp)

The lake house was located just outside the city of Chikago in the county of Belviyn. It was a county known for farms, cows, and the faceless dairy maids. It was far enough away from the city for life to seemingly move a bit slower but close enough so that the city lights still caused there to be a severe lack of stars. 

Evan liked Belviyn but he didn't prefer it by any stretch of the means and he supposed that was, in part, due to his aunt--a woman of which he had a slightly strained relationship.

Aunt Norma had married well to an investment banker; well enough to afford two houses, one of which resided in the city and the other being the lake house. The Lake House was found by following the main road, turning right onto Meadow Lark, and then taking the third street whose name was a symbol. Following it for twenty minutes, you made a sharp right between two cow pastures and drove until you saw trees and a large house whose frame was made of large stone and larger panes of glass. Inside existed a grand kitchen, spacious living room, and four bedrooms; each with a private bath. In the hallways, pictures of the family lined the wall in uniformed black frames. The place had been done to have the homeliness of the country while the showiness of someone who had money and wanted people to be aware of that fact. 

Honestly, Evan wasn't exactly sure why they were boasting as, from his knowledge, his aunt hardly stayed at the residence. He only remembered being there with her once but she was kind enough to have allowed him the use of it for every birthday on the condition he didn't leave it a mess. He thought it may have been her way of comforting the loss of his father and also making amends for the disagreement that occurred between them five years before. 

During that time, Azizah had been almost his only company. Occasionally their friend Jason would tag along but, every year since he was seven, Azizah had been Evan's companion. When he turned eleven, it was for a comfort he, at ten, didn't know he would end up needing. While time had passed, her dedication had not and that morning they set out together to ready the place for the others. While they unloaded the car, Azizah chirped about her experiences looking for a suitable host for her soon to be husband. This ranged from the acceptable to 'hell-to-the-fucking-no' as she eloquently put it. When Evan began to grow silent, she switched gears to bombard him with questions concerning those that would be coming: how did they meet? Did they have classes together? Was anyone hot? Please say someone's hot, and so forth. 

Once setting up was finished, the two took to their respected rooms and fetched bathing suits before re-emerging and making a dash to the lake. Azizah had purchased a new bikini that had been modeled after a sailor girl--a fact she found amusing given her tentacles. She had managed an 'adorable' sailor hat but, as she was pushed into the lake after striking a pose, it was quickly lost. The two took turns dunking one another before finding themselves exhausted and climbing back up to the dock.

"Ugh, we forgot towels." Azizah huffed, her tentacles coming down to wipe water from her eyes.

"I can go inside and get some." Evan offered as he pushed up the last ladder step to stand beside her.

"Kay, mine is the Beatles' one. The yellow submarine."

"No." walnut colored eyes narrowed. "You did not. I loathe that song."

"What song?" a smirk.

"Azizah,--"

"This song?"

"Azizah, no--"

There was a car pulling up but Evan hardly had time to check who it was before Azizah scream-sung into his ear.

"WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE--" 

Hooking his arm around her middle, he pushed forward back into the lake and the girl screamed before they both splashed into the water.

Mass text to listed numbers

-text- Hello, my yummy muffins! This is Azizah--Evan's sister from a different mister. I hope you all don't mind but I went through his phone and snatched your numbers so I could give you the head's up without our favorite man knowing. To prove I know Evan and I'm not just some creeper with a shrine and a funky text fetish, here is proof.-

Azizah smiled as she inserted a picture of her and Evan laying on her bed and smiling at the camera in a way that showed every possible bit of their teeth. Azizah's tentacles had come down to pull at the corners of her mouth while Evan had managed the same affect with his index fingers.

-text- Here's the scoop with the party. It's gonna be Sunday out in East Chikago in a small county called Belviyn. The closest thing to it is cows. The neighbors are cows and horses and cutesy woodland critters. It's like a Disney movie only without the white-washing and random musical numbers.

Okay, but here is the main thing. Knowing Evan, he didn't bring this up because he would worry about you guys worrying but Evan isn't a big fan of his birthdays. So no saying happy birthday, no singing happy birthday and no other birthday-esk things. If you wanta get him a present, go for it but no birthday themed wrapping paper and hand it off in private. If you get him candy, be mindful walnuts can kill him and he hates cherries and all cherry flavorings. 

AND FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODDESS DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL. Sparkling juice, A-OK. I'm sure you know this, given you all are his friends but you know what they say about assuming.

On that note, I am super excited y'all are going to be here because it's been just the two of us for a while. I am determined to make this the best birthday yet! XD 

But if you ruin this for him, I swear to the Great Decayer, I will fill your stomachs full of angry bees.

Duckie was in a pickle. He needed a babysitter. Unfortunately, he didn't trust many people around to take care of Katie and those he did trust were either busy or in a pickle of their own. He couldn't force the three year old to stay overnight at the hospital with him. She'd get bored, get into trouble, and want to go home. Trying another number on his phone, he bit his lip in worry. He hoped Evan would be free for the night. If not, taking her to the hospital with him was his only other option.

Sitting on his dorm bed, Evan played video games. He landed another headshot before picking up a care package and throwing a grenade over a wall. His team was so far ahead in points that the game felt a bit boring. Hearing his phone go off, he frowned when he didn’t recognize the number but picked up.

"Good evening. Evan Torri speaking."

1. What’s your favorite food?

Pollo con crema. A lot of restaurants just pour cheese dip over the chicken and that irks me to no end so I pretty much have to have this homemade but its my favorite.

2. What do you do in your free time?

I love to write, crochet, and read but usually I'm on tumblr and utterly unproductive lol.

3. What’s your favorite book?

Ohhh this is a hard one. I have several. Walden by Thoreau changed my life. American Gods by Neil Gaiman is excellent as is Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. Also, The Color Purple by Alice Walker is beautiful.

4. What’s your favorite movie?

The Godfather. I watch it every Christmas with my dad ^_^

5. How’s your week been so far?

My week has been fantastic! I have been sick and can't work but I have caught up on sleep and editing my book for publication so I have gotten a lot done!

6. Do you have plans for the weekend? If so, what?

Well, today I'm gonna crochet and tomorrow I'm looking at a possible wedding venue which is exciting! I may swing by and pick up some fabric paint because I may be making my own wedding dress to save some money.

7. Are you doing anything special for the holidays?

I'm spending time with my fiance's family and seeing my own as well and, to me, that's pretty special.

8. What’s your most proud moment?

Oh gosh, this is a toughy. hhmmm....When I think back, all I can think of is things that happened to other people; like my brother taking his first steps or my sister getting a standing ovation at her speech. As for things that I have done...I'm unsure. I helped teach an elderly gentleman to read and hearing him read a page to me felt pretty fantastic.

9. Do you have any pets? If so, name them! :)

My dog Sasha just passed. I have another dog named Valerie Palme after the CIA operations officer but we call her Vallie. ^_^

10. Are you looking forward to the new year?

I am! I'm getting married in that year and I am determined to make it the best yet!

11. What’s your favorite Holiday & why?

Samhein/Halloween!! I know they are different but I couldn't possibly choose between the two. I love all things associated with spirits and death and the thought that this is the time that the veil is the thinnest just makes me so happy. I keep hoping I will see my grandmother who passed when I was younger. I even leave food and a candle lit for the spirits so they may find their way. I'm sentimental like that.
