Hecate's stomach swells with a child that knows too much. That is born with eyes that see more than they're meant to.
They send the child to the mortal world to be raised, hoping mortal influence can temper some of the power.
Hades hopes, foolishly, that Hecate's power can aid his son, can make the power he's passed on bearable. He hopes that Hecate's power and mortal love can dull his son's eyes just enough to keep him from being blinded.
“Oh my God where the hell did that come from?”
“Where did what come from?” Wasabi was starting to sound faintly panicked.
“It wasn’t there!” Gogo spluttered. “It wasn’t there, but then it was there, and – what the hell, Hiro?”
“Yeah, see that feeling?” Hiro said, pointing to her. “That feeling has been my entire life for the past, like, hour.”

A Friend in the Dark by PitViperOfDoom (AO3)
Big Hero 6/Rise of the Guardians – General/Teen
#Alternate Universe #Crossover #Guardian Tadashi #Kitsune #Magic #Minor OCs
Callaghan is behind bars, but Tadashi’s work is far from over. The Man in the Moon thrust him into this position for a reason but failed to let him know what that reason was, and once again he finds himself muddling along for answers as Nightmares run rampant through the streets. But it takes more than fire and magic to make a Guardian, and when a new (yet old) threat threatens those that Tadashi holds dear, he comes to understand just what he is capable of, and what it means for everyone he loves.

A fanart I did of Izuku and Rei from the My Hero Academia fanfic “Yesterday Upon the Stair” by PitViperOfDoom on ao3.
It’s a super long fic which i usually don't do but this one is realllly good.
A song I’ve been listening to while reading it is “Tired (feat. Gavin James)” by Alan Walker. Fits almost perfectly with the “cold hands, red eyes” part
Jon’s eyes darted to the side for a moment, nervous and hesitant. “Could—is it alright if I wash your hair?”
Gerry blinked at him drowsily, taking a few seconds to process the question. “Why?”
“You just—you look a bit tired, and I thought it might help?” Jon bit his lip. “If you don’t want me to, I won’t.”
He couldn’t think of any reason why Jon would want to. But he also couldn’t think of a good enough reason to say no, either. And if Jon did want to, then… “Knock yourself out.”
My three illustrations for @pitviperofdoom ‘s fic “Let Them Swing From a Silver String” for @tmabigbang ! Doing these and working with everyone was so fun, so definitely Go check it out!
