Final Cover
Outside of the cover
Inside of the cover
This is the final cover for my publication, showing the outside and inside. I have included in a spine as I intend on perfect binding my publication but there could be too little pages which is something I need to consider. I will want to use perfect binding because it will look neat and I wouldn't want the spin side to get damaged as this would be a valuable and precious piece of work featuring my family.
I think this cover works really well and with the simple but effective with the typography and simple illustration brings it together really nicely. With these colours I think it works well and there isn't too much doing on.
As I do not have access to a printer, I haven't been able to print out my book in pages. I have had to improvise with the size of the spine by counting out the amount lose pieces of paper of pages amount of pages in my book to then measure to give an estimate thickness of my book as shown above.
Overall, I think this cover works really well because it gives an indication of the content, the flowers and text are consistent and also shows the design style of elegance, delicateness and classy which runs throughout my book too.
Final Front Cover Design
After going through with my tutor making the necessary tweaks, I have finally finished my front cover design. I have decided to go with the initial cover design, but with a few adjustments. Also, the name I have chosen is ‘Perceptional Prose’ as that is the one she thought was the strongest, and it creates a really soft and warming ring to it. As my cover will be a jacket for my book, I have included the publishing details on each end that will be folded round. My next stage is to begin printing, I definitely want this jacket to be printed on some form of gloss as it will set an example for what is to come inside, being mainly image-based. The tricky thing will be to make sure everything is aligned properly and that it fits the book exactly, which is why I will print this after the main outcome has been printed.
The Final Cover to Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang's critically acclaimed tenure on Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman #35
Why I don't like the Blood Of Olympus cover
… there are just the Romans on it! Hazel & Frank → okay, they don’t have been on any other cover.
But why isn’t Leo with them on the cover? I can understand why Percy isn’t… he’s on three other Heroes of Olympus cover…
… I miss any Greek demigod on the last cover! :/ And I think, Leo would have been a good choice in combination with Hazel and Frank!
But that’s just my opinion.
