Slingers of spells dressed head to toe in a single color with trims, the “Mage” comes in a verity of types focusing on different “colors” of magic. The Mage is a full casting class with a core line set of generic spell caster spells including spells such as Magic Missile, Shield, Mage Armor, and Dispel Magic. Also universal for the class is their “Enlightenment,” which allows them a set number of casts of lower level spells without expending spell slots, acting in similar fashion to an extra set of Warlock style spell slots.
Delving into the subclasses we have White Mage, Black Mage, Green Mage, Red Mage, Blue Mage, Yellow Mage (the Summoner), Brown Mage (Scholar), Pink Mage (Mystic Knight), Violet Mage (Time), and Prism Mage (Sage), each, with the exception of Blue, getting an expanded spell list of various categories of spells. White Mages get spells that focus on healing and radiant power. Black Mages get spells that deal damage and destroy. Green Mages get spells that power up allies, weaken foes, and other similar effects, as well as some melee combat capabilities. Red Mages get a mixture of spells from White, Black, and Green, not getting the highest levels of spells from them, but being the most versatile all round. Blue Mages learn traits from foes, improving themselves to make up for their lack of unique magic. Yellow Mages focus on summoning creatures to aid them in battle. Brown Mages have a unique study capability and get more skills. Pink Mages can swap the damage types of their weapons and get martial abilities with a mixture of offensive magic. Violet Mages use a mixture of space and time related spells to change the flow of the world. Prism Mages are masters of all types of magic, though it comes at the cost of specialization.
