Here is my Uma Musume version of Funky Peach from Namco's 1997 Final Furlong game! 🐎🐎🐎
Funky Peach is from an 1997 arcade game called Final Furlong. Whenever I would go to my local arcade, she was always the one that I would pick to play as. This game has a special place in my heart 🐎
One day I will color her 🐎

Design explanation below!
I thought that it was a great creative exercise to make some of the Final Furlong cast into Uma Musumes! I'll try to make everyone, as I already have a sketch of Funky Queen, another horse in the game, but no promises :( 🐎
It's a work in progress, but I thought that it would be a nice to put the Final Furlong cast in sailor uniforms mixed with power ranger elements. Since Namco, the company that developed it, is based in Japan. I thought that it would be a nice call back of where the game originated from by using those themes.
Also, because all the Final Furlong horses have masks on and have "Funky" in their names it sounds like a team coordinated name theme.
(At least in the western localization.)

For Funky Peach, I pushed for the heart motif in her hair because her mask has a heart symbol on it.
Her horse model also has two different hair colors, brown for her mane and white for her tail. So, I showcased that with giving her two-toned layered hair.
I referenced one of the NPC jockey's uniform that best matched with her (blue and pink stripped one).
I used Peaches as her hair accessory since she has Peach in her name, and placed it on the right side since she is a mare.
