"yeah, that’s kind of the impression i’m getting,”  why, at the end of the day, is it always a circle of teenagers that have to save the day? then again, one could ask  —  why was it up to a serial killer’s daughter, a today show host, and the unluckiest final girl to stop two murderers? some things stay the same, no matter what coast you’re on.  “kid, maybe you should sit this one out, alright? you’re seventeen  —  you should should be thinking about college and who you’re going to ask to prom.”  she’s such a hypocrite: sam herself never went to her senior prom nor college.

“just tell me one thing first,”  she leans in, voice slightly lowering,  “... did you really get attacked by a fucking bear? i thought your friend with the beanie was joking.”

he  doesn’t appreciate  the  dig  about  patrick,  even  more  because  tate  is  the  reason  chad  is  stuck  here  in  his  miserable  cycle.  fucking  teenager  with  mommy  issues  to  pluto,  was  what  did  him  in  hes  still  not  over  it.   ❝   didn’t  your  mother  tell  you  if  you  have  nothing  nice  to  say,  don’t  say  anything  at  all  ?   ... oh  wait,  my  bad. she  was  absent  trash,  no  wonder  you  turned  out  like  this.  ❞   chad  shakes  his  head.  ❝  and  my  relationship  or  lack  their  of,  is  none  of  your  concern.   ❞   there  is  a  pause.  ❝   but  if  it  was,  i  might  say  the  ass hole  can  go  chew  glass.    ❞

@finalcuts​ continued from here      —      it’s a fixer-upper, and that’s putting it kindly.   the former montgomery mansion is in need of restoration in   . . .   well, everything besides the framework, and that’s still a generous assumption.   still, shelly is transfixed;   she has faith that this house can be restored to its former glory, and the whispers of its beautiful, remaining art deco style promise her this.   that, and well   —   . . .   it’s cheap.   remarkably cheap for a home this old and with this square footage.   walking away from it for a house half the size and twice the price would be the biggest mistake of shelly & eric’s lives.

“i think everyone and their grandma has heard of this house by now,”   shelly teases gently.   he’s relatively young, though old enough to know not to break into people’s houses.   admittedly, the kid scared the hell out of her   . . .   reminded shelly too much of the reason she and eric left their life in detroit behind.   with a sigh, she puts her hands on her hips, her duster loosely hanging by her thigh,   “i thought the history of this place would send us walking but, y’know?   this place has a lot of potential.   it’s beautiful.”   or it could be, once it’s fixed up.   who knows how long that will take?   

“how’d you get in anyway?   you live around here?”

@finalcuts​ continued            "i’m sorry.”  those two words cannot take the weight off of kit walker’s shoulders, nor relieve him of the agony he’s faced. still, shelly wants him this know this: he is more than a subject to film. she was introduced to kit by way of lana’s breaking story, but he’s not just that. here she is, sitting outside his farmhouse  —  the land is beautiful  — she’s seen glimpses of his two little children. the camera is left behind today, willingly, to get to know the man carrying this tremendous pain.

“besides lana, did you make any other ... friends there? was there anyone you could turn to?”  it’s bad enough to be trapped in that hellish environment, but to be isolated, for the world (both inside and outside of briarcliff’s walls) to think you’re a killer  —  that’s almost worse.

“Oh well, it’s appreciated,”  Val commented one of the two men in the stark-white room with her undid the bounds around her wrist; They were quite uncomfortable, and she hadn’t much meat on her. The metal of them had simply been digging into the prominent bone that stuck out from right under her hands. She rubbed at the skin that had reddened there, and took in the new scenery. Back at Temple Gate, they hand crafted all their own furniture and built their own homes, so it never looked like this. All concrete and paint, a metal table between her and the rather nice-look man who had promised her a short drive from the now decimated village. That was the first time in a long time she had been in a car too, which was exciting in and of itself.

“So what’s next?”  Val asked, leaning forward and squinting her eyes to try and take a peak at whatever the documents Detective Zabel (or so he called himself) had out between them. She seemed staunchly unaware of what kind of situation she was really in; Having very little knowledge of how the Damned World worked outside of what Papa Knoth preached in order to keep them terrified and away from it.  “It’s a bit cold in here, don’t you think? I would’ve brought my coat, if you had warned me.”

“It’s not a Halloween mask.”  While Sal understood the confusion around his face, that didn’t make it any less exhaustive to explain to strangers; He supposed the questions and assumptions were better than the odd looks he so often got. The stares with the furrowed eyebrows, the people commenting under their breath to one another as to why his father allows him to go out like that. “It’s a prosthetic. This is my face.”  He took the mask by the bottom and readjusted it to sit the slightest bit up further.  “Do you think the school would let me just wear a Halloween mask around?”

@finalcuts​ cont      /      “fuck,”  sam mumbles. there is a warm, dripping wetness under her nose; when she goes to wipe it with her sleeve, sam sees that her nose is bleeding. another expletive is huffed under her breath as she sniffles ... stu's not gonna like that either.  “it was nothing  —”  her arm is significantly scraped up from a fall to the ground  —  calling it a fall is generous as fuck. sam was goddamn pushed.  

“y’know, i got a ... warm homecoming. just in case i forgot why the hell i got out of here.”  she forces a bitter laugh. it could be worse; she’s alive, isn’t she? a drunken small town asshole is no g.hostface.
