So the past 11 days or so, I had taken up a project. A birthday gift for people I really care about. One of them got my old Star Trek phaser that I used for Khan. I refurbished it, repainted it properly and that was a job done.
The other got a handmade, scratch-built gunblade made from PVC Foamboard (Sintra), lots of car body filler, a lot of love, a lot of sanding and a lot of swearing. Oh and some paint, and a clearcoat. I spent a lot of time (and a bit more on materials than I originally planned but whatever, investments...)
Let's say both clients were happy! VERY happy!...though they didn't see it coming. ;)
