Gym climbing has been so hard to be motivated for lately. The gyms are PACKED due to Groupons and 0$ initiation fee incentives to get more members. While I am happy that gyms are welcoming new members in, I don’t do very well with large crowds. My stoke to climb just shatters because it’s hard to get a turn in and the lack of good climbing etiquette is at its all time low. I try to gently teach others to be aware of their surroundings and about common climbing etiquette, but I can only do so much.
However, Moonboard has gotten the stoke back up. Wayyy less people hop on Moonboard and I get such good sessions in. Here’s a clip of a proj I had been working on and finally sent! When I first saw this problem last year, I was like, “this is some tall person shiet.” Then just a few weeks ago I tried it and finally got the big move!
Feels so good to see the progress and also to get the climbing mileage I’ve been lacking.
