So I have now finally arrived in Chuncheon* (still in Seoul but at the time I finish and post this I’m not). I spent 3/4 days in Seoul and before I arrived I was worried I would have alot of free time during these 4 days... Turned out that I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to and went back to the guesthouse after midnight everyday.
So what did I do? Most of it is actually K-pop related so if you really want to know or care, click the “read more” button
Basically during my weekend in Seoul I got to experience the full fangirl life and damn that is exhausting. Kudos to the fans being able to follow their bias for every schedule (offical schedule ofc - not encouriging the sasaeng fans!).
My biggest pride though, was being able to understand the subway map of Seoul and getting around all by myself. Really not as hard as I expected and being all alone in Seoul was actually really fun, since I got to everything I wanted to do without taking others into consideration. It was really the best start I could get for my long term stay here in Korea.
Okey, let’s take it day for day as I wanna remember it the best way possible.
Friday 150821
Turns out I couldn’t sleep at all.. I slept for maybe two hours and from 2am I was wide awake. I was just waiting for time to go by fast so I could get started with the day. I was also hungry as fuck and considered going to see if anything was open at night cause “hey I’m in Korea so I bet there is”! Well.. there was nothing so I was wandering in the streets at 7am for nothing.
Going back I decided to try to sleep a little and after about 3 hours of sleep I went to eat and got my hair cut and coloured!
It took about two hours and it was now about 3pm and since I was going to SS6 Encore Surround Viewing at SM Coex at 7pm I decided to go there early thinking I would probably spend a lot of time there before the show. Ended up having less time than I initially thought as I had to rush through all the floors since I had to pick up my ticket as well. I got to buy some souvenirs from the shop though! (Eunhyuk notebook and Jonghyun pictures) The shop was pretty cool and had a lot of cool merchandise, but I feel like halt the shop was filled with EXO... I also went to the cafe and of course I had to buy something for the sake of it and bought a Super Junior ice cream. Expensive as fuck and I didnæt even get to enjoy it properly because I was rushing! The show was great though! I always love watching them and ended up crying because of the ending ment. Watching the members cry (even Heechul!) on the big screen was heartbreaking. I’m gonna miss the boys so fucking much! Overall it was great! The whole venue was awesome! Pictures everywhere and big ass screens and yes you name it. It would be like paradise if you’re a SM stan. Too bad I didn’t meet anyone (Henry, Siwon and Kangin was there on Thursday!!!!) - just my luck!
After the “show” was done I had to go to KBS because Eunhyuk and Leeteuk were gonna be Sukira DJs so I just went to the subway and straight to KBS. Of course I was late and didn’t get to see them entering, but that was expected. I didn’t really figure out exactly where it was so I had to ask someone, she was actually an EXO-L and she was super nice! She didn’t just show me where it was, she personally took me all the way to the “venue”. When we got there, there was so many fans it was crazy! The window where we can look in was crowded (I tried to get a look, but it was hopeless) so I decided to wait in the lobby so I would have a chance to see them when it was all over. Even though it still was 90 minutes till it ended, it was crowded in the lobby as well. I had a spot a little bit on the side, but when it came closer to the end I somehow ended up in the front line! So when they finally came out they were like right in front of me! The wait was totally worth it!! They were super sweeet(!!) and Eunhyuk looks so much shorter in real life it was so weird, but he was adorable!! His voice was so calm and sweet and omg I loved it! He started pouting (after people said we were so many because of KRY concert) and it was so fucking adorable. Seeing him so close was kjdfhalkfhadskfhkafk... This will be stuck with me forever! Would totally do this again!! Maybe not so easy as I live an hour from Seoul though...
They also took a picture with all the fans (offical and private) and Leeteuk even posted it on Instagram where I could see myself all the way in the front!! Documented for life, thank you Teuk!!
After that long ass day I got back at the guesthouse at about 1am.
Saturday 150822
CONCERT DAY!!! I had to wake up early (not that I could even sleep) since I had to go to the venue and stand in line for a ticket. So I arrived at about 10 o’clock (the concert started at 6) and there are already some people there for the same reasons as me. The merchandise booth just opened so I just put my bag in the ticket booth line and went back in the merch line. It was so damn hot and I was in line for about an hour. Now I finally have an offical lightstick yaay!! and some other stuff. After standing in line for one hour I just had to change line and stand there for hours. Of course that was boring as hell, but you gotta to what you gotta do. Since the concert started at 6 I was counting on the ticketing to open at 3, but to my relief they opened at 1-2 pm and I was close enough in the line to get a ticket!! I even got floor tickets!!
After getting tickets all I had to do was wait for like 4 hours. iT WENT BY FAST AS I WENT TO EAT and there was stuff happening at the venue.
The concert was beautiful though!! asughkjasdlghkasdgh their voices were amazing and they were so fucking close!!! I miss them soo much!! My firt Seoul concert and it was amaaaziing! I was finally a part of the beautiful sapphire blue ocean, even though it wasn't as big as sushow, but still!
KRY really has the most amazing voices adn it wasn't one song i didn't enjoy. Leeteuk and Donghae was also there and of course I couldn't help turning around so many times just to check up on them.
I enjoyed every moment and the only thing I regret is not going the second day.
One this that was frustrating though was when it was finished.. Everyone rushed outside to the parking lot to see KRY leaving and we all stood there for like an hour or something. I actually had a pretty good spot all the way in the front (or I thought so), but after the long wait this stupid maknae decided to stick his head otu and wave on the other side of the car... So I basically waited for nothing.
In addition to that going home was the most stressfull thing ever. All fans were going home at the same time and majority took the subway, including me. Let's not forget that Shinhwa had a concert as well on the same day so the subway was litterly packed! I thought I was gonna die since it was so fucking full and so damn hot.. Luckily I managed to get on the first train even though I had to stand the entire trip. Seriously though it was so tempting to just lay down ont he floor and sleep. The feeling of getting home and going to bed was amazing actually. I think part of the reason I didn't go for day 2 was because I was too exhausted and I didn't have the energy to wake up early and stand in line for tickets again.
concert - full, hot, merch, expensive, awesome, great babies dongahe leeteuk goo agaaain
Sunday 150823
I woke up considering if I should go to the KRY concert today as well, but decided against it as I woke up too late and going to the venue to stand in line for a ticket would end in vain as is started earlier this day so getting a ticket this late would be impossible. Needless to say this is something I regret now. Instead i decided to roam Seoul by going "sightseeing" as in going to Chocolat Bon Bon, GrillTaco5 and SM building. Actually I started my day by goign to the hairdresser to fix up my hair. I cut it and coloured it and it took about 2 hours or so. I then went back to the guesthouse to figure out how to get to these different places. I made a plan which was CBB --> Department Store --> SM
--> GrillTaco5.
Starting with taking the subway to the designated stop to get to CBB was easy. There was like two different guides on how to get there and I chose the one I though was the easiest. Turns out it wasn't - or maybe it was I jsut suck at directions. So choosing this guide I suddenly decided to go into this small street because I wanted to follow the signs. Bad idea. i ended up walking for hours (it felt like it) in the burning sun. The sun was bright as fuck and I was lost as fuck and I decided to give up since I couldn't handle the sun anymore. Ironically while trying to find my way back to the subway I ended up walking in the right direction to the cafe by recognizing buildings. Deciding to give it one more shot, I managed to find it. After hours (one hour at least) I finally arrived at y destination. Only to find out that the place was closed! Being the genius I am I didn't bother to check opening hours and just assumed it would be open. GREAT! Just my luck! Well... what I got to see of the cafe was pretty cute. It was actually a lot smaller than I expected, but cute. I will definently go back again - when it's open.
Moving on to GrillTaco5 (since I was so damn hungry) was not that hard. I actually mangaged to get there without any problems. The restaurant looked very good and there was quite a few poeple there. There was pictures that was taken by Donghae by the entrance and there was also this HaruOneDay bag (which I regret I didn't buy - gonna buy cause I will return) and it was really spacy (is that even a word(?)). I decided to order what I heard was Donghae's favourite, only in burrito form and it was delicious. It was actually a lot of food so I couldn't finish it all, but it was all worth it. Didn't see Donghae though... (bastard was there yesterday - again! just my luck) but I saw his mother and brother working and they seemed nice. Didn't dare talking to them though, since I can't speak Korean.
After a fulfilling dinner I decided to go to the SM building since it was so near. Looking at the map I saw that there was this department store and since I needed a new charger I decided that I could probably find something there. Disregarding the fact that I was in Gangnam and it said "Luxury Department Store" I took the elavator up to the 2nd floor. Wrong move! Getting out of the elevator all I saw was these expensive branded stores - like really expensive (rich people expensive). All i wanted was to turn around and take the elevator down, but I would look like an idiot since there was this couple that took the elevator with me, which is why I decided to take a little look around. Never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life. Here you have little me walking around a fucking LUXURY Deapartment store in casual clothes and a backpack. I felt so out of place and I felt like every employee was judging me so hard. The little walk took me maybe a minute or something, but it felt like forever!
So when I finally got out of there I went my way to the SM building and on my way there I saw these cool Mnet dolls dedicated to different kpop groups. It was like the walk of fame, but not that big - like it was just dolls. I found them really cool though. Around the corner along this idol street was the SM building. I don't know what I expected, but it was not what I saw. It was basically just a small entrance - sure the buidling was big, but the front was nothing big. There were maybe 2-3 fas outside waiting, but I didn't even bother since there was no guarantee and it was hot as fuck.
All of this had taken up almost my whole day so I just decided to take the subway home and relax. I ended up roaming the streets of Idae on the evening though. It was really relaxing and really loved the atmosphere of Seoul streets on the evening.
