Update?
Long time no see. As predicted the death of the blog arrived faster than its birth. I'm actuallty proud that I some posts managed to update the posts that I did... and that says a lot. I'm now at my second and last semester in Korea and time is flying by fast! I only have a little over a month left. Let's see if I'll be able to make some updates soon~ haha My friend from Hong Kong is actually coming back to Korea to visit over the weekend so any updates over the weekend won't be happening, but who knows? Maybe after she leaves? lol even I don't believe that...
Representinâ Norway at the schhol festival! We made waffles with a Norwegian recipie, Korean ingredients and a Belgium waffle iron. It tasted like home and thatâs good enough for me. The Koreans loved it too, we got no break from the cooking and the waiting time was endless.
We visited the palace at 경ëśęś on Hangul Day. This is where Koreas national language was created.
Since I suck at updating and writing text posts, I'll just do a picture spam now ă ă ă
Year of the dog! Would be cool to be a dragon though..đ˛
Got myself some new bling!
Boat paddeling with the gang yesterday
ěěź - Birthday coffee, dinner and ë ¸ëë°Š!
Just got home from an awesome night!*Â Today was my birthday! Yaaay! First and probably last birthday in Korea! I really didnât expect much since Iâve only really been here for 3 weeks. Luckily I have already met so many great people and we are an awesome gang. I really love it here!
In the evening the whole gang went to eat dinner together - we were maybe about 20 people(!). Originally the plan was to be only Christina, Katharina, Sandy (their buddy) and me, but then we invited people from everywhere. We ended up eating chicken which was delicious! The chicken here is so good, I love it! Sandy was so nice she even surprised me with a cake, but since it was her birthday celebration as well (hers was on Monday) we had a cake prepared for her as well so there was two cakes! It was a really great time I love going out to eat when weâre a lot of people because of the atmosphere. I love the fact that the international student we hang out with has been able to get such a great bond during the short amount of time.
We finished dinner around 9:30 and agreed to finish the day with karaoke. Since we have a cerfew a 12 in the weekdays some decided to go home and we were "only" 12 people. Karaoke might be the best invention ever! We need something like this in Norway - itâs seriously the best! Singing, drinking and snacks! It doesnât get any better than that! It was the best way to end a perfect night. The guys were great! Haha they are so damn entertaining, especially the Spanish guys! Also if you were wondering Max and I got a full score by singing Mamma Mia! And I found out that Misong, my buddy has an amazing voice. She can sing and rap! Apparently according to Dana most Koreans are good at this. After half an hour with singing and more drinking and food it was time to go home to get home in time for the curfew (lol it feels like I'm 14 again with this cerfew).
All in all it was an great celebration and it was more than I ever expected! So grateful for all the people I've met and I look forward to make more memories with these guys!Â
*Started this yesterday, finished today.Â
Took a little visit to Mouse Rabbit last weekend since we were meeting another UiA student who is an exchange student at Konkuk Uni, and since Mouse Rabbit was close I had to take the chance. The cafe was actually bigger than expected and it was nice and cozy. Apart from it being Yesungs cafe I could find myself hanging out here. The interior was so cute and of course all the pictures, messages and cakes from fans was a great bonus. Unfortunantly we didnât have time to sit down as we had to go meet the others at Hongdae, but I am definently going back! PS: Just my luck that Yesung AND Donghae decided to take the trip to Mouse Rabbit the day AFTER I was there. This is the third time already. FML ă .ă
Got surprised with burthday coffee in class from Dana and Gaby today! Don't drink coffee though đ but it's the thought that matters!! Thank you guys â¤â¤ Loved the drawings!

Night life in Seoul is crazy
I have never been so tired all my life.
This Saturday many of the international students gathered to go out in Seoul to drink. As we (the Norwegian girls) had already planned to go to Seoul we decided to stay in Seoul from Friday to Sunday to use the Friday for shopping in Myeongdong.Â
Myeongdong was soo big! There are so many stores and there are so many people and so much street food! Itâs packed, but itâs awesome! We arrived at Myeongdong about 1800 and used all day to find something. We were all determined to buy at least a skirt each to try to fit in with the Korean fashion. I didnât have much luck in that department (I only bought a jumper and itâs not even winter yet), but Christina and Katharina did. After using all day walking around we didnât get the time to finsih the street and go through all the stores we wanted so we had to go for Saturday as well. This time I found two skirts actually HAHA. No idea if I will ever wear them because yeah... theyâre skirts and Iâm me. At one point (on Friday) we ended up at a launching party for one of the clothing stores. It was this big luxurious store and they made the whole third floor like you were in a club - with loud music, a DJ and dance party and there was even free snacks. The atmosphere was awesome and we were actually so ready to go out, but decided against it since we got tired again after eating. We ate Korean bbq which was delicious!! Reccomended people!!
Saturday night was crazy. After finally locating the others after much struggle we joined them to eat and drink. We were at this place were there was unlimited food and drinks for only 15 000 krw (120 NOK), how crazy isnât that?!?! Totally worth it! I think majority of the pepople got pretty drunk - I know I did hahahah. Christina drank so much that she puked and Katharina drank her judgement away.
(Soju is dangerously delicious!)
I had a great time though dancing all night, thatâs basically all I did. Drink and dance! The Korean night clubs are way different from the ones in Norway though. We ended up in a place named Coocoon and it was huge - at least thatâs what I remember. There were so many floors and it was so hard to navigate, I know I got lost a lot of times. We got out of there when it was like 5am and we didnât even leave right after since we just ended up talking to several random people. We left the street about hald an hour later and we got back to the hostel (thank god we had a hostel!) at about 7am. The moment we got inside we changed and jumped in bed because all three was litterally dead tired. GREAT NIGHT WITH GREAT PEOPLE! I even got new friends!!Â
And this Friday weâre going to Gangnam! What am I doing with my life?! Iâm going to die all over again.Â
Seoul Days~
So I have now finally arrived in Chuncheon* (still in Seoul but at the time I finish and post this Iâm not). I spent 3/4 days in Seoul and before I arrived I was worried I would have  alot of free time during these 4 days... Turned out that I didnât get to do everything I wanted to and went back to the guesthouse after midnight everyday.Â
So what did I do? Most of it is actually K-pop related so if you really want to know or care, click the âread moreâ button
Basically during my weekend in Seoul I got to experience the full fangirl life and damn that is exhausting. Kudos to the fans being able to follow their bias for every schedule (offical schedule ofc - not encouriging the sasaeng fans!). My biggest pride though, was being able to understand the subway map of Seoul and getting around all by myself. Really not as hard as I expected and being all alone in Seoul was actually really fun, since I got to everything I wanted to do without taking others into consideration. It was really the best start I could get for my long term stay here in Korea.
wow... as expected I kinda suck t updating this blog... Gonna post the Seoul post later today and maybe some pictures and text as well
