Financial Confidence #PODCAST #80 How to Beat Financial Stress
I lived below the poverty line for years. I'm lucky to be able to afford a better lifestyle now, but I still feel that same fear of not being able to afford my rent fueling my decisions, years later. . #scarcitycomplex #financialwoes #scarcitymindset #personalfinance #budgeting #personalgrowth . https://tisbutamoment.com/scarcity-complex/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BtL2DwrDikB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=oegqkmmk4opu
Just had a horrifying thought...
• Car registration is due in February
• I have a dental appointment in January
My mother I know will want to pay for my dentist visit. I'm sure I'll be okay for the registration. And at some point I will have to cough up $200 for the last 2 tires for my car. And I will still have to pay a fine for not having health insurance.
AND. And. I am taking a week off of work in January to go up to visit Mom and Sister with Boyfriend.
Yessir, it's gonna be TIGHT. Time to stop buying kindle books, cigarettes, and wine. My three weaknesses. At least I have figured all this out now instead of when I am totally fucked. Of course I can't help but think of the $2500 inheritance I received this year from a deceased relative that I put ALL into my student loans. Or the fact that I am putting $50 toward therapy every week. OR the fact that therapy will still go up. In February. To I think about $75.
Growing up. Ugh.

No vacation blues
Since its that time of the year when everyone I know is going on a vacation to some exotic place, I felt the need to explain my money problems through this forum. I have never been on a vacation in my entire life.
I've tried that last few years to save up...however my money always ends up going toward other bills (this using my emergency savings fund). It's truly frustrating being surrounded by people in the city who are well off and can afford these exquisite vacations. My reality is barely having enough money to pay rent, pay for groceries, afford NYC transportation, and hope that I don't incur an overdraft fee in the processing of paying for those three things.
