Character Profile: Finch Erred

Backstory: She was an Elemental Maiden/goddess with her parents and her older sister (Serz Erred). Now elemental gods usually keep to themselves and never even give mortals more than a passing glance. Mainly they stick with their family (other elemental gods) and look over each of their elements. Finch had no friends, and not in a "I wish I had a friend" way, no she was perfectly content to not associate with the other gods, again elementals only associated with other elementals. Of course all elementals paid the Jade Emperor and his direct court the respect they deserve as they were more powerful than them and were viewed as the justice and truth of all Earth (like "well they said it's right so it must be" kinda thinking). Anyway one day Finch’s older sister doesn't return from court (as the eldest she has to go). It's soon discovered she was carried off by some god. Her parents fly into a rage, bust into the gods temple and rescue her. Then the parents and the kidnapper are brought in front of the Jade Emperor, he punishes the kidnapper and Finch is happy. But then he also punishes her parents because they should have gone to him and his court before going off on their own (a "don't be a vigilante" lesson). However since they caused minimal destruction their punishment is small but Finch is pissed. Everyone else seems to make peace with the decision but Finch can't. She can't see why her parents were punished and starts to view the Jade Emperor with less respect (like he's no longer all knowing and fair in her mind). So Finch gets a bit jaded. Fast forward some years, now Finch’s water elemental cousin (Dynl) has a goddess stalking him. He brushes the potential danger off because the goddess has an affinity for water so he thinks she just wants advice; Que him getting kidnapped. Finch finds out he got nabbed and is pissed. Her family goes and reports the kidnapping; meanwhile Finch decides to take matters into her own hands. She busts into the goddesses temple and suplexes the goddess to Earth. There she then beats the goddess so badly the woman wished immortality didn't apply anymore. And that's how Therese officially meets Finch; she had to bubble Finch to get her to stop. In court, Jade denounces the kidnapping goddess. He gives a "kidnapping is wrong" lecture but then doesn't punish her further, reasoning her wrecked temple and beat down were punishment enough. Finch is enraged. Then the Jade Emperor punishes her because, again, don't be a vigilante. It's not a harsh punishment, it's worse then what her parents got but not unbearable. But Finch is done with the Jade Emperor. At this point she's written off the court and the Emperor. Instead of all knowing and fair, she sees them as an obstacle/annoyance. Now Finch is pretty jaded and cynical at this point and starts taking it out on people. Not her family, she would never harm them but often they yell at each other as her viewpoint no longer matches theirs. Instead she now goes to heavy traffic areas for gods and goddesses and pulls some shape shifting pranks but then it gets worse. When someone creates a transgression, probably a poor joke or does something rude Finch will get a justifiable release for her anger. In other words she's looking for an excuse to start a fight, and as a 3rd tier goddess she figures "I'll just fight some weaker gods/goddess". This continues for some years with Finch's fights getting more and more violent and less and less provoked. Till finally Therese (who has a complaint box filled to the brim with notes about Finch) tells her to cool it or she'll be punished. But Finch doesn't care for her authority and continues anyway. Her family then tells her to cool it so she move onto the gods favorite punching bag, mortals. It starts small with some shape shifting pranks, Earth shifts, and minor rockfalls and then tumbles into greater chaos and destruction. By now Finch just enjoys causing chaos, it's not a stress /anger relief anymore but fun. One day she sees a huge army of humans marching someplace and thinks "they look ripe for murdering" and kills them. However this army had pledged and was blessed by the Jade Emperor and thus he's totally pissed (Finch didn't know this when murdering them but it made her smile after learning that). She’s brought to the Court and is banished from Heaven and turned into a Demon. Banished from direct access to her family and the only home she’s ever known Finch is beyond pissed. She rampages across the Earth and causes a lot of misery. She often fights the Heavenly army, and unfortunately for them, wins. It gets to be too much and Therese is once again sent to fight Finch. Therese finally ended her rampage by bubbling Finch and imprisoning her.   

Current Storyline: The group meets Finch where Therese left her. She has been trapped in Therese’s bubble for 500 years.

Abilities: Finch is definitely the most powerful of our group. Elemental maidens are more powerful than regular celestials because they are tied to one of the five elements. 

Finch has direct control over the Earth, and is, in fact, made up of stone/granite. She weighs about 3,000 lbs (1,370 kilos) but the Earth will always hold her up. She could make a paper thin bridge over a river and it would not break or crack while she walked over it, the Earth will always be able to support her.

She can also shape shift. This doesn’t change the fact she’s 3,000 lbs. So if she changed into a bird and landed on a tree that thing would snap in half.
