(((This contains Spoilers))) I have played Duskwood a bunch of times to get different conversations. My favorite part is I figured out who the hacker is and he is my favorite character!! I have many different reasons/clues as to his identity. I believe the Hacker/Unknown/Jake is in fact Richy!!😋 The clues / reasons: 1: You get to know everyone so soon, but Richy forgets to add you until later. 2: They say all Richy cares about is his work, but he doesn't really open up to anyone. 3: If you look at Richy's profile there is a picture of him sitting down and gazing out at the sunset and in the distance it appears/looks like a desert island. 4: When Dan asks you who sent you after me Richy is not an option but the Hacker is and so are Thomas, Cleo, and Jessy. 5: Also, Richy wants to tell Jessy about you, but does so offline. And the Hacker says how annoying. 6: If you choose to correct Richy that's in love and not lobe, he will tell you that you are very observant. The hacker also, after reading and understanding the first document, tells you that you are observant. 7: Also, and just because Richy is always bringing up the fact that you are working with said Hacker. 8: Richy later opens up to you and tells you a lot about himself, this includes Dare House, which you can decide not to tell Jessy about. 9: Dan say aww Richy and you are now closer. 10. Also, You can tell Jessy that it seems like you know Richy better. 10:(This is what truly sold me as Richy is the Hacker) When you are playing episode 4. We already know that the Hacker can read everyone's posts. So you are having a chat to cheer up Jessy and you have the option of saying "Bad weeds grow tall" Later when you are all in the group chat together and Dan is back. Richy tells him he told us that bad weeds grow tall. You have the option to say that you said that.( The only way Richy would have known is that he is the hacker and read what you had written to Jessy) ( you and Richy seem to finish each other's sentences.) 11: when Richy has his private chat with Cleo in the first or second episode...he throws out his suspions of you and says you will reveal yourself and it only takes one small detail. He then states that he sure we will find Hannah. Cleo asked him what if you are wrong?.....The Hacker later on says we are definitely going to find Hannah and says he was right about you. Okay so that's my opinion and clues and reasons why I believe Richy is the Hacker 👍🤗😎🤔🧐
The only issue with this theory is that, even if you have a very good relationship with the Hacker, Richy still abstains from voting you in or out of the group, however, the Hacker decided to interfere by broadcasting a message to everyone standing up for you. Of he truely wanted to stand up for you, he could have just voted to keep you in as Richy.
Although, I suppose as Richy he felt that he could not vote against Lilly, but as the Hacker he couldn't simply vote against you, so he abstained from voting as Richy and decided to stick up for you as the Hacker instead because it would affect his standing as Richy in the group. Also here is another thing that strengthens your theory that you never mentioned. The Hacker claims to have witnessed the kidnapping that likely took place at Hannah's apartment. By the time Thomas got to Hannah's apartment Richy was already there. Perhaps Richy witnessed the kidnapping and decided to hide his identity and speak to the group as Jake instead. Also, the Hacker decided to give you access to other's conversations and Hannah's cloud immediately before even holding a proper conversation with you first. He later claims he did this because he felt an instant connection with you, but he'd never actually spoken to you before he decided to grant you access. While it's possible that he could've felt an instant connection with you by just reading your conversations with the others, I believe that he may have felt an instant connection with you by interacting in the first group chat with you as Richy. Richy also seems to trust you immediately (kind of?) as we could see from his conversation with Cleo that took place after the first group chat, indicating that Richy may have felt in instant connection with you which may have been his reason for (kind of) trusting you. It seems entirely possible to me that Richy, a man who loves to work on cars and has a lot of time on his hands could very well lead a double life as a skilled Hacker. Another thing that is very interesting to me is that Jessy claims that Richy strongly believes that the Hacker is from their friend circle. I'm not quite sure what to make of that. Another thing that I can't quite explain away is the fact that, if Richy is actually a skilled Hacker leading a double life, why would he need Jessy to take care of computer stuff in his business (aka the things Richy supposedly can't do). I don't know if this made any sense but I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. Thanks for sharing your theory! I'd love it if you'd share your thoughts with me on some of the things I've mentioned.
