@findinghomes Ive loved their writing for so long that when they followed me back I screamed! Like having a celebrity around. The way she writes is so sweet and filled with love. i wasss!! i really wanted a soulmate fic to read and I remembered yours and now I'm like.. on chapter 4 on my reread xD I was gonna shoot you a message but the story got me good. Im really looking forward to seeing how it ends (eheheheh)
9. How do you worldbuild?
I love your worldbuilding and fantasy elements so much!
fiiinn my beloved <333 That's a great question!! For the fantasy AUs I feel like the first thing is finding the general ~vibe: is it adventure or mostly focused on romance? Do I want heavy magical realism or is the magic just an extension of the character's moods and usual mannerisms? What's the big conflict and what changes from before and after the story? After that's settled, I usually write a rough outline of the story beats I want to do, and try to "enhance" it with magic. One example is the george has magic but it's a secret fic: i wanted it to be something that showed george's quiet acts of love for dream, and the magical aspect was something used to add to that baseline of dnf being in love but having very different ways of showing it.
