Day 46

Amazing day celebrating VE day. Stuart took part in a Virtual Parade. So much gratitude to the Guiding & Scouting Teams for a their amazing work putting together a full day of challenges which were fun to join in with. 

So much baking, bunting colouring and fun and games in our street. Jessie came round and we had a social distance afternoon tea party with Gemma & Martin and their girls over the road. 

The day was topped off by one of our neighbour singing outside his house which brought everyone out of their houses to sing along. We have so much to be thankful for today celebrating VE 75!

Saturday 11th July 2020

Day 110

In the hopes that I might track down the pesky mouse I emptied as much of the conservatory into the garden (luckily the weather was nice) as possible and cleaned the shelves. NO sign of the mouse what so ever. I put most of the contents in the shed instead of back into the conservatory.

I dropped Issy off to do her painting job. Picked her up later and dropped of football boots that we had borrowed. 

Cooked a yummy chicken in a mustard sauce and had it with chips. I had a headache and was tired today but felt better after tea.

Saturday 20th June 2020

Day 89

I popped round to show Jessie what I had done with her pillow and she tested it out and liked it. She asked me to make another too. I need to make covers for them.

I cut the grass this morning and did Jessie’s as well.

After lunch I went to Jacks to get food for a picnic tea tomorrow and Issy made a coffee cake.

We watched the Arsenal match this afternoon. It is so good to have football back. I drank a few beers.

I cooked tea and me and Issy rushed off to the park to help with the raking the grass after Steve used the farrow on the field. The new seed should start to grow very soon.

This evening we wrapped the Fathers Day presents and the kids made cards..

Thursday 11th June 2020

Day 80

I went into the office today. It was good to have reliable internet as mine is so slow lately. Tracy wasn’t there as the weather was due to be rainy, although in the end it wasn’t as bad as the forecast.

I watched a slug this evening for my 30 days wild activity and found out they have a blow hole.

I played more candy crush.

Sunday 7th June 2020

Day 76

A lazy day today.

I had lots to achieve that I just didn’t achieve...for a change.

I was going to cook a roast. I didn’t cook a roast.

I was itching to get out for another walk but lacking motivation. Luckily Issy said she would come with me and we had a very lovely walk that was much longer than expected and with lots of lovely photography fun with my crystal ball christmas present.

Then me and Issy had our usual cuppa together.

Sunday 31st May 2020

Day 69

It was lovely to sit under the gazebo this morning as it was still lovely and hot today. 

I had lots I should have got on with today but I just sat around a lot doing not very much. I tried to work in the greenhouse but it was too hot.I managed to sieve some more of my compost ready to sew more seeds or pot things on.

Lunch was lovely melted cheese and ham wraps. I sat in the garden as I do for all meals now. 

Stuart and I managed to get the wheels off the trailer tent. This was not an easy job but we got there in the end, We have propped it up with bricks for now. 

Issy and I sat outside with our cuppas again as the sun went down. 

I’m watching the Durrells on netflix at the moment.

Saturday 30th May 2020

Day 68

The weather is lovely AGAIN!! I pottered around quite productively this morning.

We had delicious panini’s for lunch.  

This afternoon Stuart and I with some help from the children put up the new gazebo. It’s made a lovely little seating area which will keep our table dry if it rains and provide much needed shade. It needs some cushions and fairy lights to make it cosy. 

Stuart also put up my new washing line for me which was hard work but we got there in the end. 

Issy and I sat outside tonight with our cuppas and watched the resident bat fly around.
