One of the proudest days of my life!!! I was told that I should take time off and be a mother before finishing college. "It will be better for your child." "You will miss out on all the important firsts." "She won't be that close to you." "You'll regret it some day." Thanks to my awesome support system and inspiring professors, I graduated the year I had Madalynn. It was difficult for sure, but worth it. The last few months I was on bed rest, with approved school time, taking 18 hrs to finish. I am so grateful and blessed to have had the right people in my life to help me succeed. NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN'T. NEVER LET SOMEONE CONVINCE YOU THAT YOU AREN'T CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS. DO NOT BE FORCED INTO A STEREOTYPICAL BOX. As a parent, I have found my strength in making sure Madalynn understands that dreams take hardwork and courage. I will never let her get down on herself, because she is capable of achieving everything. #EightYearsSinceMyBA #FindYourResolve #AxeEmJacks #EducatedMotherOfOne #RaisingAFutureGoddess #EducatedLadiesRock #BlackGirlMagic #MelaninPoppin (at Nacogdoches, Texas)
