c - how long it's been since i've kissed.

    & those four words were like a knife to rose’s chest. never  in  her  long  life     with the gems had she heard any of them– nevertheless pearl– sound so…     defeated. pearl  had  never  approved  of  rose’s  relationship  with  greg,  &     for the longest time- rose had tried her very best to gain that approval, all of     which was to no avail. but it didn’t stop her from  trying.  years  had  passed     since she first got together with greg, & they were now expecting a child– a     human child. a boy that they were going to call steven.     rose knew what it would entail. if she were to become pregnant, she would     have to give up her physical form in order to bring him into  the  world.  she     would have to leave greg & the gems. & when they  found  out-  it  seemed     pearl had taken it the hardest.  she  locked  herself  away  in  her  room,  &     avoided any & all contact with the others. & rose swore she could hear her     crying…     she tried desperately to reach out- but the door to her room stayed closed.     it’s been a few days since then. rose was sitting on  the  stairs  beside  the     warp pad, staring at the beach & the seagulls that were scattered across it.     garnet & amethyst were out on solo-missions, & greg  was  working, so she     was  practically  alone  with  her  thoughts.  that  was-  until  she  heard  the     temple door open. quickly, rose is on her feet & facing the now-open  door.    & in the middle, there stood pearl. her pearl. & in a matter of seconds, rose    is by the smaller gems’ side, & enveloping her in a hug.

❛ pearl! oh, my pearl… i was beginning to think i was never goingto see you again! i was so worried… i just wish i could have seenyou sooner. ❜     because now you needed me more than you ever did… i just wish  you     would have let me in…    -pearl was quiet. nearly motionless. rose lets go, tilting her head as she     places her hands on pearl’s shoulders, only to see that pearl was not     looking at her. instead, she was looking at the ground.

❛ pearl? i know you’re upset- i understand… but please… look atme. ❜     no response.❛ pearl, please…❜     still nothing.

❛ –you don’t have to look at me,  but... at  least  say something. ❜

    & then she hears it. in a quiet, & broken, defeated tone.

                                                ‘i hope you’re happy.’

    all rose ever wanted was pearl’s approval of her relationship with     greg, but not like this.

the gems playing minecraft and rose and pearl go off and live on an island together kinda like ruby & sapphire are and somehow it goes from a friendly game of mc between the four of them to an all out lesbian war

garnet playing minecraft and as it turns out she’s the best at fighting monsters so she keeps guard at night while the rest of the gems do whatever in the little fort thing they probably built but sometimes she gets so into the game that she actually forgets she’s playing a game so when she goes to beat a monster she just. punches a hole through the computer screen

the gems end up having to go through at least 3 computers as a result
