Yeahh, exactly. It makes me sad that I can’t trust a mentally ill writer to write mentally ill characters, but I really don’t.

Billy could definitely be in worse hands, imo, but I’m still pretty worried.

Though I am tentatively excited that my babies are going to be in an ongoing again.

Wow actually can we not let him near a character like Billy, the fucking Demiurge, after what he did with Loki? There is way too much fucking room for him to fuck around with Billy.

Yeahhhh that’s what I was thinking. And also after the way he handled Loki’s depression... I’m not sure how I feel about him writing a character whose depression is so important to their characters. Which feels like a shitty thing to say considering Al himself is depressed too but... idk. At least I’m sure he wouldn’t erase it. I’ve been worried about Marvel erasing or ignoring Billy’s mental illness, and at least I know Al won’t do that.

It’s actually kinda weird EDI wasn’t an LI. I kinda expected her to be when it was announced she was getting a body? And it really would’ve been nicer to directly work through those things with her, rather than play relationship councilor.

It is really weird... like, it would have made for better variety too, having human, alien and then also an AI romance option. I’m so disappointed they didn’t include her as one.

Yeah Bioware was actually super shitty to shoker fans, it was…really weird and awful. That aside, I do think it’s sweet for EDI to explore a romantic relationship with an organic, I just wish it had been handled better. Joker/EDI had potential.

Yeah, I really wish it had been handled better. But that’s also why I’m so sad she’s not a romance option. I would have loved to have helped her with that personally and been with her helping her learn and discover organic relationships personally, instead of just like, giving her advice on her relationship w Joker. :c

also Sam/EDI would have been a great alternative too

Ahhh there’s no need to feel guilty, you can like it if you want to! I actually never had a problem with the ship until ME3, myself. It was just the writing that turned me off, plus the way Bioware used it to spite shoker fans. We could’ve had both.

Ahh yeah I mean, there were definitely some issues with the writing. Ultimately, I really liked EDI navigating relationships w organics and understanding them through Joker, although tbh I really wish it would have explored her becoming “human” more through other relationships rather than focusing so heavily on a romantic one.

but... I didn’t know Bioware used it to spite Shoker fans. Wow, I’m actually not even surprised though. I haven’t seen as much of the ME team as the DA team, but Bioware is full of childish devs istg why do they think it’s okay to interact with fans the way they do?

Yeah that intro messes me up so much, I feel so awful for Joker and Shepard and the Normandy getting ripped apart. Layla is a little astrophobic because of the ordeal.

God, yeah. I obvs don’t ship Esther with him, but rewatching it definitely made me think about Layla and Joker a bit oh god, that’s gotta be a hundred times more painful with a Shepard you ship with Joker.

and god, Liara at the beginning too ugh

I’m so attached to the Normandy too, so seeing it destroyed like that is heartbreaking

Holy shit I just saw those designs and there is…almost no variation between any of them wtf. Do people not realize that part of character design is about making characters distinguishable…?

Sovereign is my favorite reaper, it was so fucking creepy and Lovecraftian. I ADORE that conversation on Virmire and it was actually the reason I started the series.

omg yeah I’m so happy to be actually experiencing Sovereign and not just learning about it from backstory and dialogue.

I’ve been skipping through everything quickly since I’m replaying Virmire to save Kirrahe, but not this conversation. It’s so cool and it’s giving me shivers I love it.
