Painted the ambot for my munda gang! They don't have the creds for one yet, but it never hurts to be prepared!
Have quilt pictures featuring the top of my father's head. Finally finished this one! Now I get to start drafting the pattern for my lemon quilt!
Valos Tetys is the First Captain of the Hounds of Terra, a veteran of countless actions on the Imperial frontier, and Master of a ruined Keep. Tetys commanded a veteran host against the overwhelming assault by Craftworld Caeroc-Brae in 986.M41, falling to the blade of the Autarch Caerathrae Elyon as the Eldar bombarded the planet. Pulled from the battle by the actions of returning chapter fleet elements, Tetys was slow to recover. His hatred of the vile xenos reached new depths as he could only think about his duel throughout the many surgeries and augmetic installations. Tasked by the Chapter Master, Tetys oversaw the recovery of the chapter’s surviving assets in the following years, waging brief campaigns to secure relics stolen away by corsair elements of the Eldar fleet. When the Great Rift split the stars, Tetys led the first through what the chapter thought would be their end. It was the timely arrival of a battered torchbearer fleet that saved the chapter, delivering both news and fresh marines. Tetys was one of the first of the chapter to cross the rubicon primaris, new flesh and augments reforging the captain for the next age of humanity’s eternal war.
The Esian Blades are a prized relic of the Hounds of Terra, forged in late M38. This paired relic blade and combat knife are wielded by the most acclaimed duelist of the chapter, the spirit of their primarch guiding its blows. Many of the chapter over the millennia have seen radiant silver hands guiding the wielder’s strikes in the heat of battle. The metal of the blades was recovered from a defaced statue of Ferrus Manus, found deep within the vaults on Esia, deep in the Eastern Fringe. The alloy defied classification, and while the greater mass was sent to the mechanicus for further study and contemplation, the right arm was remade by the chapter. The Master of the Forge set forth to turn this fragment of a lost world into a blade, and a promise. What emerged from the forge was a weighty relic blade, dense enough to cleave ceremite even without its displacement field, and a simple combat knife, inscribed with a simple command, “Endure as Iron.”
The upgrade is complete! A friend is trying to talk me into trying some other washes on him, but those are at least waiting for me to get some varnish. Really happy with how nice he looks.
New lightbox test for the termies!
Replaced my botched thread and glue power cable with one from zinge, still probably gonna play around with trying to replicate the banded twist idea on other models though
Refereed a necromunda game over the weekend, looking forward to getting my gang to the point where they can afford things like servo skulls and ambots
And he's painted! A drop ship pilot during the clone wars, his ship was shot down by Republic guerillas in the buildup to the outer rim sieges. He was recovered, repaired, and rebooted by a rodian salvage tech named Zech, and now works as a smuggler, trying to forward what resources he can to anti-imperial forces
